Hi all,
I just cant seem to get good damage with blasters close up, 1. my heavy ion was giving 48 / 55 damage with lead 2. my limited ion cannon was giving 78 - 90 with lead
I have surgical strike 5 med hybrid 5 large hybrid 1 (spot the one to learn)
can i have some tips from blaster fans?
It's a Dog eat Dog World out there and I'm wearing Milky Bone underwear

Edited by: Jessa on 17/05/2005 16:55:16 Use antimatter charges, most serious blaster pilots use precious little else because they give the highest damage output, and try and keep orbit on your guns optimal range - this is important, as your guns will be more accurate and do more damage.
Motion Prediction, Controled bursts and the rest of the misc gunnery skills will help aswell, try and get them as high as you can if they arent already.

Use antimatter and get tech II blasters, with a medium neutron II on my diemos i can push the dmg near on 1000 with a wrecking hit. With small neturons i can push it to near on 500 with a wrecking hit. Tho overall i prefer to use ion blasters or even electron blasters, all tech II mind you. The damage even on the Electrons is decent. Really tho dont use any other ammo for your blasters except antimatter, you will love the dmg you get as it is nasty

Antimatter all the way - the changes to range for each ammo type don't affect blasters enough to make it worthwhile, most of the time. It's either Antimatter for damage or Iron if you need range (hitting webbers with small Neutrons for example). Unless you're forced into range, go Antimatter every time.

I have to say, t2 large blasters are a joke. Their high CPU use negates the bother to use them as long as you can afford modal mega electrons. Unless CCP change something i will be sticking with modal mega electrons.
Use antimatter matey.
