I am currently in an inactive corp, a corp that came into such a state due to a CEO that went MIA. With but a few words on the corp forum she left, leaving no one in charge and herself and some of her alts as CEO and directors. I have become inactive to a degree, logging in every now and then to work for another corp while still in [THEMM] or to explore. But due to the restlessness of myself and former corpmates I would like to infuse into this corp, new life. Considering the efforts of former leaders to create a fresh corp, I think it best to resurrect this pre- established corp.
The name, like a banner, was one under which friends gathered and others recognized. I would like to take advantage of this name that once had hundreds of pilots flying under it. How might I do this? I have no roles and no shares. There are little over one hundred inactive characters and only a select few have director rights. And these, to my knowledge are MIA. If they are alts, I do not know to whom they belong. Again, I ask, how might I acquire control of this corp as CEO?

Not to sound bad, but the chances of you getting CEO are most likely NILL.
With out the power to vote the old CEO there is no way for you to get control. I would recommend starting a new corp with the active memebers.
At least this way the spirite of the old corp lives on, but with people who actually want to play.

Just replace The with the name of the origin system picked for the corporation and you're better off already.
For example Endatoh Merchant Marines.

I could be wrong. But I think you can petition it stating that the Ceo left and the remaining active memebers would like to stay with the corp. What I'm sure you wont get are any items that the CEO and directors have access to. You also wont get access to the corp wallet as it is. At best you get nothing but can keep the name.
Then again like I said I could be wrong. All you can do is try.

How lame is it that someone that cares enough about his/her corp should not get the benefit of whatever is in the corp wallet and whatever assets there are when it appears that everyone else has neglected it? Granted, it is said person's responsibility to build up the corp in question but why not give him/her a little (or a lot) of what s/he gave to the corp?
Anyway, what little I know of THEMM tells me that the directors, who'd once been CEO's of corps that'd merged with THEMM, likely took the assets and isk and/or gave some of it to the reformed group.

As a former director of THEMM, I can tell you the assets went to a new corp: [NMM]. It was created out of former THEMM members. The directors gave that corporation the majority of the assets.
Yura, I'm afraid you're out of luck. The former directors that I know of (Karnov, Femintaki, myself, and a few others) have all split off into new corps, or stopped playing the game. There are still 140 (mostly inactive) members of THEMM. If you wanted to reform the corporation, you'd have to either live with them or kick them out. Your best bet is reforming the corporation under a new name, something similar.
As to someone who cares not getting what's in the corp wallet ... when I parted with THEMM I left with my ships, my mods, and my wallet, all of which I had personally paid for. The other directors did the same thing. Not an isk went from the corp wallet to mine. We cared deeply about THEMM and poured all our energies into making it work. Even though it didn't, we never stole from the corp. We gave it to the members who wanted to start a new corporation from the ashes of the old.
Yura, if you need my help, let me know. I'll do what I can to help. -----------------------------------------------

Word!!!!!
Personally I wouldlove to see THEMM reborn. BUT without Dal. But admitedly thats an impossibility due to the fact that most of the core THEMM players were her idiotic drones( I say that tentatively since alot of them are my friends) they would have followed her to hell and she had every intention of leading them exactly there,to hell.
Yura you have a good idea and a good heart, ifyou could find away to depose Dal (and I pray to god that you do)I would gladly sign up.

Well, a GM once told me all you had to do was get the original creator of the corp to remake it with the same name at the same HQ.
Apparently, he forgot to take his medications too, as that was a load of floppy rabbit **** ;/ _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. "Can I be a consultant for EVE II?" - WhiteDwarf |

Well Tekka Dal knew how to motivate people, but once you motivate people you then have to organise them. She was possibly the best recruiter inthe history of Eve,but she didn't listen toanyone else's addvice and Tekka I remember who ur first Char was and the fact that you killed him cuz you didn't want to be a carebear. Dal couldn't truely adapt to being a CEO in Eve and couldn't put up with having a corp that large.

Not to make you sad, but when dallia went, I heard that some persons honored her by having the corp go to ashes as it was nothing without out, so there's about no way in hell that it could relive. On the other hand, I know that the person who created TheMM still actively plays the game but I don't think he'd leave his current corp for 1 day to recreate TheMM(if that thing about same station same creator thing works)... good luck in finding a new corp or going to NMM... don't know if they still exists though

*Sigh* Only the founding member of a corp can rejoin said corp at will. The roles on the other hand still have to be granted by a director.
For Taladorn to be outsted at this moment we would need either all the directors in the corp currently log in and depose her OR the Devs boot her themselves and instate someone with the appropriate skills to accomodate the 140 inactive players in the corp. What is done after the new CEO is in place is up to the new CEO.
On a personal note, I respected Dal till she left the game and basically killed the corp. It was a selfish way of doing it. RKK and several other large and successful corps in game had smoother transitions of power.

I don't think there are any directors still in the corp. I believe we all left. As to Jeeper, you'll need to ask him yourself. Petition the GMs, but I don't think it'll work. -----------------------------------------------

The way THEMM came to an end was a shame -A SHAME!!! It would not have been difficult to appoint an emergency CEO, nor difficult to have quit the corp. It would have taken but a day, if that long, for it all to have taken effect. And the smack I have heard about her sudden departure in order to avoid all the boo-hoo'ing at her leaving is a lame reason for her not to give more notice. I enjoyed Taladorn's company very much but this, among other things, is a harsh strike against her.
Anyway, even with a lack of assets and isk, I still have an interest in resurrecting this corp.

If the CEO and directors are inactive, petition. CCP will try to contact the CEO via email and get permission to transfer the CEO title. Don't get your hopes up tho...

Here's the problem: Taladorn had empire control lvl 5. She was the only person who could run the corp - literally. She was the only one with skills enough to run it. When temporary CEO-ship passed to Jeeper, he didn;t ahve any of the needed skills. That meant no one could join the corp, only leave it.
It's been six months since this was ended. Everyone who was active in the corp left and found new homes in EVE. Start up a new corp, run by you two, and begin fresh. That way you don;t have the baggage that comes along with the name. -----------------------------------------------
