Ok so I buy a new ship, get out my shuttle, make 5 jumps and there it is my new ship. So the question is how do I go about getting my new ship and my shuttle back home? Ive heard you can add the shuttle to your cargo or some such thing. How is this done, if it is done?

You can;t you would ahve to get in another shuttle/pod/n00b ship to go get the first shuttle.

You reprocess it and carry the little bits of scrap back in yoru cargo.
Alternativly, you can carry it back in an industrial ship.
Alternativly, they cost like 10k, and if you are struggling that much for money, let me know and I will give you enough for a few shuttles.

you can put shuttles in cargo ships with over 5000m3 space free.
However considering the cost of shuttles its easier just to trash them, or reprocess and sell the trit.

Hey thanks guys, yeah they are cheap I just trashed the one I used. But hey an ISK saved is an ISK earned lol

Don't trash it. Reprocess and get some minerals back. You do this a few times and you can build a frigate or something. Heh.. But then again I'm known for my packrat habits and miserly ways hehe.

There's also a trick to eject while your ship is docking and then you can fly to get your new ship in your pod.
Set your ship to dock and when you see the message saying it's being pulled in hit yes on the eject command box.

Depending on the system, shuttles can generally be sold quite quickly after putting them in a sell order.

Shuttles are mean't as expendable "get there" vessels. I just reprocess it and bring about 2600 units of Tritanium back home.
