Is there any way to customize look of the ship (add logo, change color,...)?
Thanks, Konrad

It would be cool to be able to change the colors of the ships at least. But there are the sad fact that we would be seeing pink or babyblue colored BSs out there. _________________________________________________________________ (\_/) (O.o) (> <) This is Bunny. It's not possible. You'd have to load the ships models of 100s of ships if you were in an area with tons of ships. It would also lag the servers to hell

This is wrong in every way shape and form. City of Heros does it. WoW does it, and almost every other MMORPG has the capability to due color customization that has NO stress on the server. How? The color variables are only a total of 9 numbers, 3 for red 3 for green and 3 for yellow. Those 9 numbers make up a whole spectrum of colors, and all the server has to do is show the needed color grid and the client processes it on the CLIENT side.
This is a peice of cake to code unless they specifically design the ship models so that this CAN'T be done because they only ever want the ships to be one color. Don't kid yourself, it wouldn't be any extra stress server-side. ------------

Whilst you are correct, i think the other guy was refering to the shape of the ships. This would indeed require extra textures and shapes n stuff. Im sure there could be more variation to the designs and allow some minimal shape changes but .... we all know there are far more important things that need to be looked at first

Nope, WoW dose not, Guild Wars and Everquest dose.

The thing with EVE is that, in space, most things are just dots. Range to another ship can be anywhere from 10 to 130 KM, and at that distance, even big things are just a dot. How big does the Eiffel Tower look from 50 KM outside of Paris?
So, what's the point of making ships pink and green and red, if most people just look for the brackets and/or just pick your entry from the overview window, and without even looking at your ship, right click to target you, right click to shoot you, etc.? No point.

I think this function would be good if limited to color schemes for corps, and not individuals. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

I have really been noticing this since I started experimenting with Fraps during pvp. Practically everything I have filmed so far is just a coloured square exploding.
Someone needs to set up a Film School, LOL.

Well they can do it, would not stress out the servers any more. Might stress out players system a bit depending on what the players are running.
But agreed the Dev should work on more important issues. And also agree that maybe the Corp as a whole could have a color scheme. That would be cool.
