Anyone else noticed these little flitting sparks of light that swoop around and change direction? Never saw them before Incarna. UFOs? Signs of the End of Times? |

Nope, but what has this got to do with Ships and Modules? |

Your drugs, you can share please? In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has angered numerous people for many different reasons and is widely considered as a 'bad move'. |

I have seen them.
I always figured that they were someone's ill-advised attempt to add "shooting stars" into outer space for a more immersing "atmosphere".
Pun entirely intended. |

Yeah, these are very like the "shooting stars" which have been around since forever, but it's as if they're like "closer" shooting stars that change direction.
Maybe that's just what they are, but I never noticed them before Incarna, only the "shooting stars" in the distance that occasionally whizz by in mission instances, etc. |

Perhaps you're seeing the beacon (it does glow) as you move your camera around. I'll notice it occasionally when mission running. In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has angered numerous people for many different reasons and is widely considered as a 'bad move'. |

Took me a while to figure this one out.. It's just those little space dust specs you see all over, just really close to the camera view. To explain them changing direction, it's actually just your ship changing direction and your camera following |

Yeah I think it's this, but I've figured out the change of direction thing - it's actually just lag, you know the kind of jerking around things do sometimes when it's laggy, but in this case the way it's happening on a "distant" object that happens to be "close up", it's making it look like a UFO sharply changing direction.
Mystery solved! Can we have a dev confirmation please?

I used to think they were other ships passing in warp, but they always seem too close to the camera for that. My current theory is just 'Spacey stuff'. They are part of the engine, but feck knows why, they just look silly drifting past. Unless they ARE supposed to be other ships in warp or something, just not actual ones.
I've been seeing them since 2008ish. |
