Smart Bomb	Posted - 2005.05.22 01:32:00 - [1] For my RnD agent i have over 1000 RN or tickets and im trying to go for a XL T2 Sheild booster BPO. Im trying to figure out a way to see how long it will take to get one if ever and maybe a link to a site other then they on on here to give me more information cuase im running this but dont really know that much about it.

I started my R&D carreer to get a Tachyon 2 BPO; almost one year before the Laser Physics field had any predictable BPOs in it at all. I Later recived some offers for lesser laser BPOs but turned em down. Lo and behold; several months later I actually were one of the first people go get a Tachyon BP. I guess sometimes good things do come to those who wait. Your best bet is to max your skills; do all the missions - and be prepared to wait a very long time before you get a good BP. Starting now and hoping to get one of the blueprints already shown is probably not going to happen though; so I would set my goal for something else down the line. Funnily enough it was a year to the week when i dropped a nemesis BPo recently. I hadnt had any other offers in that time, at the time i got lucky it was from my level 3 agent (i run 4 others at level 4) which had just been mounting up RP since i started her off. I had given up hope of ever getting an offer, but at least it goes to show that you 'can' be lucky even after such a long time.

Theorically, if you take all the offers, you will never have big RP numbers, thus very slim chance for the big stuff. I guess you accept bpo also when you want to switch agents which might happen for some reason. If you got crap offered to you, I sure hope you would not accept it even if the offer keep coming back to haunt you again and again and again... lol That's why you have a week to think about it btw, losing all thoses RP for a Cap Recharger 2 for example would be a complete waste of good real time. Research is like lack of implants, don't expect big result with 10 RP a day like you don't expect to train fast with an primary attribute at 7! But even then, you will endup having it.

You need to remember it is a lottery with no guarentee you will ever get something. But also as a lottery you could win with 1000 RP. Keep in mind 1000 RP isn't much. I have over 10,000 RP in this field and I would guess there are people with way more. I haven't even done any missions or maxed out my skills for this agent so I could easily have twice as many RP if I had worked at it.

I know this as when I started with my R&D agents I had connections 2 and increased it now to connections 4 and noticed a good increase in the rp with the higher agents I have And yes patience helps I have had 4 R&D agents (all different fields) since April of 2004 and have not seen one Tech 2 BPO. Oh well 40m I flushed down the toilet so far but one hit and I will easily make it back. Hulredi
