it is not the first time I see a thread of m0o disbanding or being no more, and m0o kept coming sooner or later.
m0o is a part of EVE after all.

It was a great run while it lasted guys, I still remember the very first EVE vid I ever made of a m0o camp in PF-346, and the chaos on the forums back in beta and early release when you guys were stacking damage mods to the max =D

*snip* m0o was a hardened combat force up towards the end. We fought alliances, corps, individauls; we fought outnumbered and outnumbering our foes. We very nearly always came out victorious.
Our respect for those we faced was a mirror of the respect they gave us.
The "myth" of m0o was our constant search for a fight, regardless of how difficult it may have appeared. And we made it happen. Again and again and again. Through changing game mechanics and all.

Sad to see a household name go -the only corp name to ever be featured in agent missions briefs if I'm not mistaken- and I secretly hope it will resurface eventually for a fourth coming (nine lives, baby).
I was part of m0o for a few exceptional months near the end of the 2nd coming, such never had the pleasure to fly with Zap and only very briefly with Rev, and obviously could only read about the legends of the past (Stavr0s, j0rt, etc.) as they were evocated in corpchat; but I had the honor to fly with the likes of TWD, Omni, Bob, Digi, Frank and a slew of other great pilots, and it always seemed to me that the original spirit lived on, regardless of what outsiders may say (and tbh, we didnt give a f***).
My very first evening on the corp, we raided Cloud Ring, scouted and engaged 7 TheMM BS at a gate with 5 of our own (but we had Omni in a stiletto and TWD in his maller of doom ), and killed all 7, losing none - execution, discipline, talent, that's how I will remember m0o.

I have played Eve since Beta 2. And I was in 4 days after retail. I have seen alot of things in my time in Eve.
But nothing comes close to what m0o did back then.
Yes they ganked and greifed, and made billions of isk off the carebears of Eve. But if it wasn't for their tactics and gameplay, Eve would not be the game it is today.
I have read alot of the posts on this thread...those that talked trash about m0o have no idea about the pwnge that went on.
m0o vs Concord DED. That was really the first Eve event from what I can remember.
I also remember how Darth Solo and I and some others tried to get a group together to go after them. we never could pull it off.
I also remember being in a low sec system and Zap and Gauss came into local with the Zap in a raven(one of the first Battleships in Eve at that time). I was the only person in local. That was a scarry feeling being that I was only in a Bantam minning at the time.
This corp DID do it all. And they still thrived when Player Pirating got nerfed.
Eve will never be the same.
By the way Zap. I was the one who figured out that m0o was going to come after the Curse Alliance. I had a heck of a time trying to convince Xirtam. But in the end he was able to confirm what I had suspected all along. You guys showed your hand and I saw it.
So now you know how Xirt figured it out.
