So, who gets the votes for Best EVE Online video of the year?
Making it simple: Post the link to either the original thread or the online location (e.g. YouTube) and include the name of the creator and video title. The EVE Online video must have been uploaded/posted during this calendar year.
The one with the most 'likes' in this thread wins.
Feel free to post your honorable mentions for editing, visuals, music/sound, effort - and to slap the back of your fellow video creators during this festive season.
There are no prizes; this is purely to give credit & respect where you feel it's due.
Official CCP trailer videos are excluded, as well as videos created using footage (full or partial) from the same.

DRONE HARASSMENT - solo/duo/small scale pvp
NO doubt in my opinion the best put together pvp vid, even better than kil2 or kov.
The music, the footage blends all so well together that its ridiculous and the fights are top notch. |

The Hunt Saga by Aldap
It's a small serie of solo PVP videos, which cause much imspiration to both new and experianced pvpers.
The videos both contains kills you would never believe and the realistic side of solo pvping. It is all done by a single guy in a t1 cruiser without links or anything else shiny and it confirms that: player skills > isk & character skills.
And when did you last time see someone taking out a Falcon and 2 pilgrims with a t1 cruiser?
or
Engaging a talos and drake with a rupture and then killing the Talos and surviving while DCed?
Only few ppl have achieved what he has done and it was all done with prepatch cruisers.

Anatomy of a Fight from Rooks and Kings.
Carriers versus Supercarriers with a crazy amount of cross-fitting tanking. And the main POV battleship changes from a damage dealer to a smartbomber to a neuting boat all in one fight.

on a side note i think clarion call 3 came out in end of 2011? maye it was in 2012 but either way the rooks and kings videos would come in second to this imo. |

I wouldnt say bots, while the RnK Video is extremely good, those highest likes (and i'm pretty sure with the high sec ganking video) were mostly liked by the ally members because the begged for likes.

Wescro nominated my video. He didn't make it.
Just wanted to clear up that confusion.
As to the number of votes, I have no idea, maybe people liked it? In under three days time the video has received just under 600 views on youtube. Yeah, that's not a lot of views, but I'm happy about it. This was my first EVE video.
I rather liked the R&K video myself.

I understand why the titan video has some clicks, but a plain ass boring ganking video collecting more clicks than all other high quality pvp videos? Be serious.

Hideously boring. I've watched so many video's of people with about 100bil in assets, flying 10bil ships with every OGB they could ever have and full implants. Then they jump into losec and take on gatecamps with no tackle and no projected damage.
That video wasn't impressive because the ammount of isk he pumped into those fits done all the work for him. When you can warp disrupt to 45km without heat ad web to >20km then its boring.
And P.S Warping out 2 drakes when a scimi comes on grid? Common. 20 seconds of combined DPS from those guys would have cut it in half, and he makes out like they ruined the fight by brining logistics on grid.
Again, boring. |
