ROIR-Y Is "ROAR" dunno what happened to the Y tho...
J-CIJV = Jay Sieve
Least that is most common ive heard and used.
A few still are same as Blacklight's on Rory, not too many tho. Oooo good fights again today (Monday) even with the break taken for lunch lol.

Most northerners indeed pronounce ROIR as "Raawrrr", but you do get the occasional "Arrrr Ooooh" or even "Arrr Ooooh Aye Arrr" (although you need to be dead sober to say that in clear and precise fashion, which is prob why Blacklight opts for the former ).
J-C is most commonly "Jayyy Sieve", although "Jay Cee" and "Jay Dash Cee" are not uncommon either; if you ever spell out the second "jay" however, you'll be forever branded a southerner and mocked by bearded northerners with cavernous laughs.
Note that to further confuse un-informed visitors, two exit systems in J-C bear somewhat similar names, X-7O ("Exx Seventy" "Exx Seven Ooooh" or "Exx Seven") and X-47 ("Exx Fourteeseven"), and its not an uncommon sight to see a couple loose elements from a larger fleet warp to the wrong gate.

Indeed, you had to be there to understand it. I'm sure the CA vs SA (and all others involved) war down south was very similar from the perspectives of those down there and involved in that but as with the GNW unless you were there you aren't going to fully appreciate it.
The GNW was at times a vicious, personal and hate filled (hate is a strong word but just about applies in some small cases related to the GNW) struggle that dragged on and on and on.
The war was so large, so impassioned, so vigorously pursued and so extreme in nature that it was in my eyes truly 'great' because of the widespread impact it had on so many players. The after effects were significant in terms of the changes to the political landscape up north, changes to the approaches to the game of many alliances, corporations and individuals involved and in terms of setting a standard (imho) of the potential consequences for people's in game actions.
Times and motivations are very different now though. I'm not sure many of us that were involved would have the stamina for another war of the same nature just yet, it was in some ways incredibly draining. I'm actually not sure I ever want to be involved in a conflict that is so personal for so many people ever again.
The current conflict up north is far more cordial, with a lot less smack both on the forums and in game. If I'm honest it's also a lot more fun and a lot less like work!
Hate? Nahh no hate. None whatsoever!

Very accurate
There's still along way to go though on the smack front though, I came back 3 days ago and already heard more than I have the last 3 months when you guys were gone. By that I'm not implying it's just you. I know both sides do their part but I fear the GNW will always mean passionate and smacky fights between BOB and the others in the north.

OMG I remember passing BL in local when he was passed out!!!!!
Ya,GNW changed me as a person and player in many ways, I earned a respect for corps I used to hate (Evol,m0o,ATUK),I got drunk too many times with Notfer and BL,it was fun but constantly flaming PA, going and fighting for the very fiscal survival of your char and the sp you spent months to train and the incesant in fighting on what we should do.
I loved it and hated it all at once,my foes earned my respect and trust and my friends solidified my loyalty to them. The sad thing about this war was it leveled and broke up many corps and alliances and I have been chqasing people around ever since. So hard trying to pick up the pieces.
Alliances killed cuz of GNW and its fall out: CoD Unicor FU(version 1 and 2) NABA NORAD NSA GN TPS
The bonds of friendship this war forged are literally unbreakable. There are a handful of people that despite politics and corp I would come to the aide of and I know there are other people in the same boat as me.

OH God that reminds me of when Jerhico would get stuck docked in station in x70 and everyone from fade and dek would come to bail them out.
Also reminds me of Zneai and his megathron escapades in CZD. GOD I hope we get another war that big again.

Hmmm, Unicor died coz TPS killed and assimilated them. TPS died coz most of us rejoined FE. Nothing to do with the GNW I'm afraid. GN died coz a hurricane tore through their trailer park heheh :)
Anyways, hopefully this new northern war will go on for a while longer. I hope to get involved once exams are done \o/

Unicor died cuz well everybody else in NCA was to worried about their own butt.I argued endlessly to get Unicor long term support did anyone listen? No!!! People didn't think of NCA as an alliance,we should have maybe it would still be around maybe not,all I know is that me,notfer and a few others tried hard to consolidate and merge CoD with Fade, NORAD and Unicor.
The original plan prior to Evol and m0o stepping in was to open up PA space a free space and make it into the Norths version of CFS. But m0ovolution stepped in and pwned us all so it doesn't matter.
As far as TPS goes read the fallout line I wrote if you can tell that TPS's player base was not affected by gnw then i will eat a bowler hat.

Was a damn shame when FU folded. Could have been a great alliance had we figured a few more things out before the war started and put aside greed and childlike behavior. Looking back I find it weird how Bob was taking control of Tenal and Branch and PA was taking control of Fade and Dek. Regions of control changed weekly for around 6 months. Then FU and COD pulled outa the war and it was Branch and Tenal going back and forth. Unfortunetly we(I was BNC/BoB at the time) could never get control of Venal cuz of the stupid NPC stations there. I think if CCP was to make all stations conqurable it would really make a nice difference. Pure Blind, Venal, Fountain, Cloud Ring, ect. Pure Blind instantly would be turned into a player controling mess. Would be great fun.

If NCA had merged into one alliance like a select few tried to make work alot of the pvp corps would have had an insane amount of logistical backing but it never happened. Would have loved to have seen it.
