Notably yes. Few industrials(like 5) are popped in Jita now, and freighter ganks have stopped. |

If only there were no Concord...
And I am saying this as a trader who transport stuff at times.
I'd probably enjoy hiring escorts and whatnot as a compensation for the mere thrill of it. And yes, escort services (not THAT kind) would probably end up being very lucrative. And pirates etc would get more pew pew.
But, like always, Concord would have to go and pirates would in turn have to get certain high-sec restrictions as a compensation. The only one I could think of is pretty much station docking denial unless you bribe station officials.
All of this would fit in perfectly with the nature of EVE. Crimewatch is already in place so why not just go all the way CCP? |

Well perhaps to some degree. There was always a large group that followed along with the flavor of the month.
So when ganking was a hot topic then there would always be some that try it out and you get more gankers. Just like when hulkawhatever shows up.
And then there are those groups that pretty much do it all the time.
So what you are probably seeing is the flavor of the month people dropping out for other things.

Profitable ganking has gone down as players who relied on old mechanics slowly get pushed out of the game with bankrupting loss mails. Considering most of EVE is in the under 5 bill total worth, they aren't on the radar. The rest play a king of the hill game that is rapidly winding down. |

You would have a very high chance of getting through now.
I think what should be defined here is ganking. Is it the for profit shoot and scoop type? Or the I hate miners, industrials, corp mates, and anything else I can lock type?
For profit has pretty well died now. I mean Goons have even fled now.
The standard psycho ganker who I still hold needs some proper etiquette teaching, preferably the Victorian type, is alive and well. Albeit somewhat less now due to the kill rights being used on them.
This also applies a certain amount to lowsec. I even got hate mail from one for daring to sell his killright. He hides out in null now and swears that Retribution shall be his. Which is funny because I had far more fun in the exchange than he did. |

Probably this +2 ^
I've been running my jump freighter on autopilot and it's probably fine. I realize that it technically possible to be ganked still, but it's much much much less probable now than it was before Retribution. Looks like empire space is not only the richest space but now much more fuzzy and safe. I don't really think that's a good thing, but at least I don't have to pay attention when I fly there now.

Maybe not completely remove Concord.
Remove standard response from 0.5 systems. Concord only responds to poddings. Add them to 0.4 with the same setting. Profit favors the prepared |

Silly kids...they would have destroyed a worthless industrial that was 100% empty.. Sometimes people just make poor choices. I had a T2 fit T1 cruiser attack my JF in Zinkon solo the other day right by a station. I don't know what he was thinking. It was one of the weirdest things I've seen someone do in a while. I waited around to see if maybe others would come and try to take me out... but no one came. Just weird.

Which brings up a question: Is low sec any safer for the hauler, mission runner or miner due to the effects of crimewatch on player behavior? http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Then you'd have made 0.4 High sec instead of Low sec. Surprise ! More highsec! Those who cannot adapt become victims of Evolugalbugaslugakjlwsdhvbzxd Click for old school EVE Portraits: http://jadeconstantine.web44.net/Maison.htm |
