model looks too much like a dominix, has the same basic turd-like structure 
its like they got the dread and freighter models reversed, cause the amarr freighter looks like it could level a planet

I like it. Looks like an Aurgor thats ran into a Coercer on serious steroids. Im just a lil unsure what those are down the flanks.
If they are guns then a POS is gonna have a bad day.

Digi says it how it is. It looks like a freighter.
Oh well, i doubt anything will be done. I love a lot of the ship designs in eve, this one just looks rushed..
The 3 huge turret struts looks like they were just thrown on. If a ship has such huge weapons, you would think that the rest of the ship would conform to function for them.
It's kinda like putting a 120mm turret barrel on a car, it will just look thrown together, like this freight er i mean dreadnought does

Tbh i didnt like the Amarr freighter, looked like a super sized noob ship.

Personally, I love the look of it. CCP do great ship models. I reserve the option to go crazy bat **** at CCP if the Caldari Dread looks crappy, though...

I agree regarding the looks of the ships, While i do not belive that the dreadnaught is the worst looking ship in the game (that would be the moa) it is outdone by far by the amarr freighter, The freighter looks mean and and imposing while having some sleek and goodlooking lines.

I'm pretty indifferent about the Amarr Dreadnought, certainly the beak-like structure doesn't really lend itself to a menacing appearance. I still think the Khanid Titan from the PotW is the best-looking supercapital ship I've seen in EVE. But we should really reserve judgment until we have seen the whole thing from more angles. Maybe the other side looks better?
I really have high hopes for the Caldari one however; hopefully it will have the Homeworld appearance of its Freighter counterpart. For some reason, I find capital ships more impressive when they have a massive array of weaponry and such bristling from a structure that is flattened dorsal-ventrally.
If you haven't found the Dreadnought yet, you're silly.

Acctually it looks like those guns are mounted on large stalks that pertrude from the ship when you look closer... Wish they would post some more pictures of this and the other Dreads...

No matter how much it will kick ass...it will almost definitely look terrible. 98% of the Caldari ships look terrible, and the ONLY good-looking Caldari ship that looks good AND is a cool ship is the Merlin/Hawk/Harpy. There's no way that CCP will bless us with ANOTHER cool-looking ship that kicks ass too. They like to make our eyes burn :(

Hope they swap the 2 models at least, but I doubt anything is going to happen at all. Look at the prophecy its still a fat chick And Omen/Zealot still have misplaced engine trails...

For those that have seen the amarrian freighter first hand, you know that the dread model fits the dread MUCH better. The ammarian freighter looks greaet from on top, but from the side, bottom, and back it looks absolutley disgusting and weak. As if it's a beetle with a hard outside shell until you get to it's soft belly.
didn't look nor sound like a dread in my eyes. Trust CCP on this

minmatar ships have always looked like flying junkyards or radiomasts. So curious if minnie dread will look like a very large junkyard.
Caldari non symetrical designs will make it interesting to see how the caldari dread looks like.
Prolly gallente with their streamlined designs that will look the best as usual.
As for textures, considering how much better the BC and destroyer model textures are than the old ship ones, i presume these new dreads will look spiffy for eyecandy :)

The only part of the freighter that looks tough are the massive engines and the top of it. Underneath it is far too fragile looking and tiny looking for it to be a battleship/titan/pos killer.

I still think the freighter model would fit better as dread, its just the dread looks like the bastard child from a moa and auguror, both very ugly ships, sadly 2 bads dont make a good.
