Maybe I misread some people but it seems many people buy EvE Accounts, I thought that was not allowed.
There is a topic that has just been made where the guy stated he bought a cheap account and wasn't sure whether to use his old on or this bought one.
Any help? |

Well considering they mentioned accounts not characters I didn't think to stop and ask about that. But thanks Destination! |

Some people use the word "account" when they mean "character" or "subscription" or "activation code."
For example in the thread I think you're talking about, Steam doesn't sell accounts, they just have a sales promotion for downloading the game and setting up a new subscription cheaply.
Feel free to petition or report the post, though, if you think they did something illegal. That's the correct action to take, and CCP can look at billing info etc. and sort it out. |

Making multiple accounts (using steam, ETC, PLEX or subscriptions) = 100% legal
Buying a character from the correct EVE Online forums using ISK = 100% legal
Buying a account (so accountname + password) anywhere = ILLEGAL and you will be banned for it.
Buying a character on any other place then the EVE-O forums or using any other currency other then in game ISK = ILLEGAL and you will be banned for it.
