Hi guys
Has anybody else noticed when doing missions and exploration sites that both drones and FOFs are targeting certain Large Collidable structures/objects?
The annoying thing is that it is not immediatly obvious and when you are using both drones and FOF's it can be all of your DPS being lost until you realize. |

FOF missiles, Defender missiles, and Drones have always had behavior issues.
I'm hoping that eventually all 3 will be tackled in an old code purge and a more functional system will emerge.
To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors.
If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

You should have seen the drones when I first started playing 7 years ago. They wandered off all by themselves, and was difficult to get them to obey your orders. They are a lot better than when I first started playing. And as the others have said, this has been happening for a long time, so doubt any "fix" will be applied any time soon.

Don't know what your skills are at but the better your skills then specialize then stuff just works better, check drone settings aggressive or passive, focus fire or the other. |

Yup, all that is set. I have been using drones for the last six, almost seven years since Max here was created (Was an attempt to improve non EM/Thermal DMG). while there have always been problems, it seems to be much worse now. I have only just started using missiles in a big way, and for some reason I thought that FOF's were the way to go. Guess I need to go back tot Standards and then only need to focus on beating the drones into doing what I want

I normally only used FoF missiles on missions I know I would get jammed and couldn't target when I used to do missions in a Golem. As far as I know, they only shoot at the nearest target, so if a structure is closer than the rats, they go for those. I agree though, the bug should be fixed. I don't use them now since I switched over to a passive Rattlesnake for missions. The sentries do a better job than the FoF missiles I used. And I haven't had the drones go for any structures yet.
