I joined a corp for a few days, decided I didn't like it and quit. After quitting I realized it had been war decced... I can't find any useful information on the topic and I'm now wondering if I'm locked as a PvP target against the attacking corp until it ends or if I have a rumored deserter flag now?! |

Once you leave corp your no longer a target.

You *can* join another corp for 7 days. You just can't rejoin your original corp.
Unfortunately, there is no disincentive for dropping corp in the event of a wardec. |

Does there really need to be such a disincentive? The way I see it, a corp should offer an incentive to not drop from it during a wardec. A wardec is a trial by fire of sorts. It weeds out the dumb and the careless. In many ways, being on the recieving end of a wardec is very healthy for a corporation. The current system allows for natural selection to happen, as bad corps won't be able to retain their members when under wardec, and will eventually shrink / disband under enough pressure. At the same time stronger corps will perhaps shed some carebears and carry on. |

Zimmy, you are playing a game where, at least in highsec, CCP is doing as much as it possibly can to insulate you from unwanted risk or interaction with other people.
Yes, you can join a new corp within 7 days. The only reason you can't rejoin your original corp within 7 days is because people like me were using it to great effect against people like you. |

if you leave a corp thats in war with another corp, you are no longer in war.
