Question to low sec empire sentry tankers

When we arrived the gate we were camping had: 2x sentry gun I's 2 days later: 1x sentry gun II 1x sentry gun I 4 days after that: 1x sentry gun II 1x sentry gun III a week or so later: 2x sentry gun III's 2 questions 1) Has anyone else experienced this incredible, magical transformation of sentry guns? 2) Are sentry gun V's out yet? lmao _______________________________________________ "I spilled spot remover on my dog....now he's gone." -Steven Wright

I have seen a few numbered sentry guns around but they've always been Caldari, round where I sentry tank they're mostly all Amarr and Minmitar sentries that just read as 'Amarr Sentry Gun' or whatever. Did you notice they were doing any more damage or anything? _________________

Corvus Dove	Posted - 2005.05.26 15:59:00 - [9] I bet it's damage types. I've only ever seen them in Gallente or Caldari space numbered. Amarr ones always do EM and Thermal on top of their base damage, so if I'm going to tank em I bring the right hardeners. Since hybrid ammo tends to vary so much on damage type, I bet type3's use AM, etc. Someone take a Raven and try different hardeners on each type at max range, so there's only one sentry firing. I don't think the rank is indicative of tech levels, luckily Some facts Hit: 308 dmg Wreck: 924 dmg DPS: 176 (352 for a pair) Damage type percentage: Kinetic: 31.8% Thermal: 31.8% EM: 18.1% EXP: 18.1% It's better to keep your kin/therm resists higher then EM/EXP ________________________________________________________

Also tanked an attacking gankageddon the other day in front of sentries. I'll be hard pressed to spend the ISK on a BS after seeing how well the BC did in that situation. It depends a lot on your attackers setups, and if they are able to track you properly. We down ferox's with a couple BS volleys. Anyway, back to the original point.
