I'm a member of a small industry based alliance and it seems every week some pvp combat corp wardec's us. I find this very frustrating as we don't even have the time to attempt to rebuild. So my question is simply, Why? Why would a PVP combat corp wardec a group of industry specialists, and please don't say why not. I understand that pvp combat is a part of the game and accept this. I further understand that low sec empire is fair game, so this is not a whine. I just really don't understand, what's to gain?

most likely they are either bored and looking for targets, or they wanna extort some cash from you.

I can almost understand that, but with so many wars so close together, what targets and what cash.

Industry Alliance?
Hum, could be because you present a sizeable group of largely defenseless or inexperienced pilots which would result in:
1. Lots of kills. 2. Lots of loot. 3. Much hilarity.
If this hurts you, and you find yourself constantly rebuilding, then you should start questioning why even being in an alliance is necessary to industry and/or money making.

Aye. People should know better than to make themselves a target. _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. "Can I be a consultant for EVE II?" - WhiteDwarf |

PvPers don't like industialists because instead of using weapons they would much rather chuck rocks at each other.

But unfortunatley completely true. PvPing is fun, and imo, much more so when done against ppl that shoot back, however, pvping against other pvpers is not a way to make money. Besides the odd T2 mod that may survive, pvping is a 0 income activity, infact it costs money. Killing industrialists = big money maker.
And if you compare it to real life, ppl rob convience stores and old ladies a hell of a lot more then military bases
It's simply not possible to gain success in a pure industrial alliance, you need muscle to back you up, declaring war has to cost them more isk then they make by ganking your haulers ***********************************

By the nature of industry is to produce and sell for isk. Not like you lose much of it until someone war decs you and pwns you.

Why canÆt people get in there heads that pvperÆs and industry players go hand in hand in an alliances you canÆt have one with out the other.
Mining in peace is not free it costs an army thatÆs always prepared to fight even in peace time?
This thread is not about what you donÆt understand. ItÆs about your alliance missing the point on how governments works!

Im the most proclaimed Carebear in all of Stain empire.. i used to work in empire space mining/producing ships for my corp for the pvping in 0.0 till multiple wars i suddenly became the target and would log on ... see a war target in local.. and sit in station for 15 min then log. crummy times..
wanna know what i did to stop them?
moved to 0.0
I sit in a nice system with npc stations with geniss in local belts and plenty of veldspar =) same as in empire cept i tank the spawns now which is no biggie and i have yet to really see combat unless i go looking.
Empire is nice for a while but try living in 0.0 .... 25 million isk says the war targets will not follow you cause they are Pvp'er wannabee's picking on Empire industrialists.

Gee thanks for the wub Alberto. I don't have a problem engaging war enemies. I have major problems with being out numbered 3-5:1 minimum and not being able to replace losses. this isn't about me or my alliance, it's about why a large pvp combat corp would wardec a small group of industry ppl trying to get a start. I just miss playing Eve, being camped every day get's very old. ps........on second thought, not gonna stoop to your level

You don't mention what kind of ships you're getting attacked by, but here's something you might try:
Find someone who plays solo most of the time and runs L4 missions for fun. Offer to pay for his BS insurance and tag along on his missions to carry loot for him if he'll join your corp. (cargo space is always a problem) Perhaps he'll give you the low end loot to recycle. Next time someone declares war on you have the corp turn out in frigates or cruisers to do EW on their ships while he does the killing in his BS.
He provides you with big guns and you provide him with helper minions and free empire ganking when people go to war with you.
