Hi
I have been playing this game for almost 2 years now. I haven't had a single problem realted to game stability until about a month ago.Now I'm getting all kinds of trouble. Just want to know if anyone else is facing similar problems. Ok now a brief explanation.
For almost a year, I used to play from Manchester and had no problems. Now I play from dubai and had no problems either until about a month ago. Initially I thought it was my comp or my ISP or maybe even my Cache. So I did the following
1. Got a new computer.
2. Cleared my cache.
3. Dunno what to do about isp, but I have broadband and I have no problems with any other online games.
Now my symptoms
1. Unusually long login times.
2. Stuck at "entering in space" screen forcing be to relog
3. Unusual lag in combat, even when I am only fighting small npc spawns.(I'm not even going into blob warfare and all that)
4. Random and very VERY frequent disconnects. Yesterday I was hunting in a belt and would disconnect after each spawn was completed.
Basically I am unable to do what I want and that is to try and kill other players. I am becoming a deadweight leecher in my own alliance and I dont like that. Thankfully for me I have understanding corp and alliance mates.
Please dont use this thread to rant at CCP. I just want to know how many oher people are having this problem (I know of atleast four people from UK having this problem, so it's not a regional thing I suppose). If anyone else is having this problem please post here so we can get a rough idea of whats going on.

Speak to your ISP tech support about what the Ideal MTU setting is for your type of connection.
A messed up MTU setting could explain all 3 of the symptoms you are suffering from.
For instance, most routers come set with an MTU of 1500. That is too large for most PPPoE DSL connections (I have to use 1492 out here, for instance).

I've been getting all that too, though my disconnects haven't been as frequent as yours.
I also get insane lag when opening containers, moving or fitting mods, and opening mail or my character info.
I'm in Arizona, btw.
