Special Ability: 25% bonus to Large Hybrid Turret damage
Gallente Battleship Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to Large Hybrid Turret tracking speed per level
Minmatar Battleship Skill Bonus: -10% reduction in MicroWarpdrive capacitor penalty per level
which means its already 1-2 up on navy thron....

Why exactly would someone prefer this over a Navy Megathron?
Its awkward having bonuses affected by two seperate battleship skills and 8th low slot on Navy Megathron is cooler.

Because it is way cooler to own and fly, and because it has an extra skill bonus that the mega doesnŠt got.
And an extra medslot is more useful sometimes depending what you want the ship to do.

1 extra med worth more than a 8th slot and dont forget, never forget :
25% MORE Large hybrid turret dmg than Navy Thron or Thron
EDIT : omg forgeting a point : -10% penality per minmatar BS level, BS at 3, no cap penality

Facts:
Vindicator is 33% less agile than any other battleship
Damage is the same as Megathron with Gallente bship lvl5
If the cap bonus is calculated the same way as the Deimos that would mean 100 * 0.75 (the MWD penalty) * 1.5 (for Minmatar bship 5) = 112.5% compared to a Megathron without MWD fitted.

I recall a dev on IRC saying it had 50% more agility than the Megathron. If it does not, then it must be bugged.

Urm, is the vindicator pilot has lvl V aswell, his damage will still be 25% more, your example makes no sense, if you use an example both people should have the same skill level as otherwise it makes no sense,

Incredible ship, just dont let it sit in ur hanger to long or it mite kill everyone in the station with its coolness,,, free bump 
To the poster, with gall bs 5 u will get the same dmg with a regular/navy mega as with the vindicator.
