People were unsure what the current status is in eve with the current territorial map system. Here is my revised and improved version beta.
3rd Front Alliance, CVA, HF, and COE. Please evemail me, I would like to know your exact claims so map can conclude it's beta stage, and add you to map.

i dont see a map just some weird thing. Also dont think u can just replace rightous fury as he was chosen by a vote by the entire eve community tho im sure an alternative map is always possible just dont expect a sticky.

For the most part accurate except for UCC and Vale alliances have both given up. Easier to read in the south but also Rightous' map is much better looking imho

The old map isnt being updated enough, specially with the large number of changes recently.
As for people giving up, if they really have, they could easily post to this thread.
A new map dont need to be voted by anyone, its not an official tool, if it was, CCP would make one themselfs without players being required to do so.
Give the guy a break, hes trying to do a good thing here, look beyond your flaming mentality and think of it as a resource you can use instead of an excuse to flame.
Good job, glad to see someone stepping up and giving an alternative

I am just stating the truth, no flames. Nothing wrong with a 2nd map, and it is tru that we voted for rightous' map so he deserves the respect of having the map as all the others who competed agreed. If 2ippy wants to make a map he is more then welcome to especially if he enjoys it.
It is just a simple fact that it will most likly not get stickied, made official (which rigtous' map is the closest thing to official) or take over as the most used map on the forums. Now thats not to say he shouldnt try and that is why i gave him some pointers on what is wrong. He should just know what is stacked against him and what he is going up against.

regardless of what you may think about the germans, to color them brown is a bit over the top. Suggestion: choose a different color. they are abit sensitive latly..

Not an accurate or neutral stance of the territories. In addition, it took a while for the community and RF to accept how things were being done, and for him to develop a relationship with alliance leaders - all for yet another rock to be thrown through the window and welcome yet another map debate. This map will ONLY further the dilemmaÆs we face already.
We donÆt need another map.

Mods should remove it.

I would make the image a bit smaller when maxed, I don't like to scroll to much to view all regions. The 'official' map has the right measurements in my opinion.
Rest looks decent, although some claims aren't right, but I'm sure that will be fixed in the final versions. I would also love a daily or at least a weekly updated map to be honest.

Spelling of Great Wildlands is incorrect. It is not 'Great Wastelands'  .
And to be honest the layout of RFs map is way better to look at and understand.

Many people seem to forget that the main reason for the slow map updates are that it takes time to confirm things in EVE. EVE is a slow paced game (but with gigantic waves :p) so it's only natural that the map updates a bit after events have actually happened. The only thing that could be sped up on the current map is when both sides agree on something (war is the most commong thing to agree about).
Oh and about this map. Don't like the chosen look, don't like the size of it, most definately don't like the fonts used and the symbols used.

TBH, the best map I've ever seen on these forums is Evelyne DuBossiere's (sp?). That map deserved to win over RF's, tbh. It was a work of art.

The last map, due to reasons i wont comment on, gave quite a bit of trouble. Righteous Fury was, after a long and hefty, err, discussion chosen as the mapmaker.
Now, yours is no good. See, first of all its incorrect. Second of all, it has too many spelling errors in it. Third, i dont like the way it looks. Fourth, RF is my *****.

yes but when ie resizes you maps already bad graphics it makes it even worse since ie doesn't do any resampling

I like this map better and as a member of the community here in Eve, I did not vote for Rightous Fury or against him. So instead of having a go at the guy for making a map, point him to where he is wrong and be helpful.

Instead of griping about a new map, and complaining just for the fact of complaining. Why don't you look at the system he's developed for this newer version, which, if he scales it down a bit, would be, in my opinion, better then the current version. He's broken down the various systems, making it much easier to go in and change the claim on the system. Instead of having to go in and redraw each blob, everytime something changes. War Decs and contested areas are a bit more clear.
Maybe instead of throwing him to the sharks, why not encourage a collaboration of ideas and teamwork between RF and 2ippy?

in fact i got no opinion about the political/administrative problems with a 2nd map atm.. (too early for me i guess ;)
but for the design..
i quite like the edgy-style.
but i have to agree with the critique on the font.. it¦s quite ok on the right top, but in the map it looks not so right, sry cant point it out more concrete atm.. perhaps more condensed one.. dunno
and the color-code for warzones wasnt clear for me at the first look, which i feel it should be.. i mean in a group of coloured fields have one color to stay for something like a warzone isnt obvious enough.. maybe try a pattern on warzones (as RF did i think) or make all others variants of the same colour..
and as mentioned the coalition claim is not exact.
as most prolly 2 maps will be too much, if ur intention was to help with more updates, maybe u can work together with RF (perhaps with slight redesign too), so nobody will be ****ed and the community will have the most advantage out of it.
and for sure respect to RF .. thx for the work.

Noone has so far given a good reason why RF:s map is better than this one other than that its "official".
The clear delineation of areas in this new map makes it easier to use. Since its less blobby it gives a better feel for which areas of space that a certain alliance/horde claims. If the same guidelines as the moderators nailed down for the "official" map are used this map is a better resource IMO.

If you're going to try your hand at map making, at least do stuff Righteous can't (for fear of kicking everyone off due to cries of bias)
Such as removing Coalition of Empires claim to space.
Either make it uncliamed or make it contested between 'Slackers Country' (Like marlboro country but even more desolate) and 'Sioux Town'.
Send however many alts you want, they'll most likely be killed by either slackers or sioux.
COE's claim is a few POS' that they fuel just before or just after DT. They have no military fleets anywhere near their claimed space and the only fighting going on is between slackers and sioux.
You can even add LEGI0N, Hell's Mercs and The Priory there too, even through they're in empire wars, they still maintain more of a presence than COE do.

Xetic do not hold any 0.0 stations, nor have they for a while as far as I know. Xetic can pretty much be considered an empire-only alliance at this point.

Whilst I have no problem with alternative maps, I don't want more than one map thread on this forum. One of the reasons we went through the long voting process was to get a single mapmaker so we wouldn't have multiple maps on this forum which clutters it up and is confusing.
I'm sure we can be reasonable in our understanding that RF's map cannot be updated at the drop of a hat and I ask people to be patient.
However if the reason is down to interpretation, then you are welcome to create a map which I will gladly host as a resource here.
Please email me with the url to your latest map, and also the url to a private forum or website where people can post changes directly to you.
