im curious what people think about these two situations?
gankers are definatly taking a large portion of the enjoyment out of playing since im prety much stuck mining veld. and for having 5000 star systems you are hard pressed to tell them apart let alone find something memorable in them.
theres definatly no point in checking out different star systems once youve seen one, you have really seen all 5000

Firstly it is easy to mine all over empire as long as you have drones or friends to mine with i have only had problems by going afk too long which is my own fault.
Secondly i agree that the many stars are similar and require some more interest but i usually find the pilots and corps in eve very diverse and entertaining.
Also yes ganking is a problem but you will always have bad eggs isn't it time we did something about it? I feel that concord needs to be placed in player hands.

I do agree that sometimes one feels really peaved when I lose a ship to other players, especially when I lose my pod too. But I get over it... EVE is like drinking, you always feel after a bad occurence, thats it I am packing this in, but still in the end you come back. Eve is not perfect, the balance is not quite right, but it works, and is fun, you just have to remember it is only a game. _______

The star systems are simply a stage for player interaction. There is nothing interesting in the star systems themselves.
Gankers don't tank out any enjoyment--they create the enjoyment. EVE is about player interaction. You don't have to mine veldspar.

thank you for your thought full posts. I just think the game would be alot more enjoyable if there wernt gankers everywhere you look.
kinda the dame for NPC pirates it wouldnt be so bad if they were a bit creative with the oponents rather than running into the same enemy all the time not to mention the very boring consistancy of the belts i went through all the belts in a system 27 to be exact and they were all exactly the same ore and had the exact same npc pirates. no interesting suprises.

well.. that is why there are bounty hunters.. ganking the gankers.. If you are bored, start hunting these guys down, it gets fun. If not, hop in a frig with a cloaking device and go check out some 0.0 space :)
Belts are region/constellation specific.. ore is distributed around the universe.. some areas have no mex producing roids, some no isogen..
If you are bored with missions, try a new npc corporation missions.. When we do missions (gang on lvl 4's) we rotate around with gallente, caldari, minnie and amarr agents.. each is different.
If your corp is a group-centric corp, there are a lot of options. And no, it does not get boring.
