Is it time to quit? I think 'yes', unless they sort this stuff out. (I know, another moan thread)
Irritating bugs include:
Crashes to the desktop which happen rarely, but normally at a very inopportune moment.
Having to manually dock/jump for the autopilot.
Final straw:
I may have lost not only an Osprey and all it's equipment, but my character as well.
How?
I made the mistake of attempting to use a stargate.
Jumping in, but never jumping out the other side. No crashes, no glitches, just this screen whenever I attempt to log in:

The bar simply going from left to right, without ever stopping. (Left it going for 15 minutes whilst a made a cuppa).
Only option now is to start a new character, which I'm unprepared to do.
If it's the same in the morning (when I'm due to set off my next skill) I'll be cancelling my subscription and leaving this game behind me.
Beginning to question the validity of actually calling this a 'release' candidate for a game.

You got "stuck"
Used to be a very common occurrence, less so these days.
Downtime almost always resets "stuckness"

yeah wait until downtime m8. This happened in beta, they have mostly got it right now with this bug, very rarely happens to very few people. start another char and send a 'stuck petition with your main chars name, location and a detailed description...bet they sort it, if not , it will be at Downtime.

Why didn't you just ask if anyone knows whats wrong and is there anyway to fix it. Did you really need the fix it or else?

if you look closely , hit escape , just after the quit button at the bottom they added a nice petition button for your bugged needs ..

OMG didn't put a period at the end of your sentence WHAT THE HELL? I'm going to kill you forever and ever! We punctuate our sentences on this board you sonofa*****! You can't just go ending sentences without punctuations marks all willy-nilly like some kind of hotshot! If you won't quit doing that I'll have have to MAKE you--that's right, FORCIBLE punctuation, baby. You and your poor grammar are dead meat. I can't BELIEVE this. Sometimes it makes me want to just quit reading altogether and run around drooling on vegetables in the supermarket all day. And who could blame me? Am I not being reasonable? YOU DIDN'T USE A PERIOD. Honestly it's enough to drive a man insane. What the hell is wrong with you? How dare you? God damn you!

Well (punctuation) overreaction or not (punctuation) I have played a lot of online games (punctuation) and this one is by far the buggiest (punctuation)
Is there any chance that this level of bug-ridden code is going to be 'reasonably' fixed (punctuation)
By the way, your grammar does suck the holy turd too. :P
I'll create a new character and send a petition. Although I'm tiring of having to work around these bugs. :(

Well, I'll give the guys at Eve their 'dues', they sorted this overnight after I petitioned them :)

I know there's a lot of criticism of this game and I can't comment on other people's reasons for it, only my own. I criticise because I love the idea of the game; basically this game has the potential to be the best thing I've ever participated in. On the whole it's been a 'sound' buy and is well worth the $12 per month, but I am getting increasingly irritated by the number of bugs in the code.
This game has changed the way I sleep, even ;)
But the bugs will eventually kill it for me if they aren't sorted soon... Sorry guys, but I'm not writing this as someone who's met there first 'bug' and thrown his 'toys out of the pram', this is after working around several bugs for over a month now. Not really as good as it could be.
BUT, thanks again for swiftly sorting it.
(By the way, to the idiots who like jumping in to these threads and running down anyone who attempts to criticise 'Eve', read the above carefully. And please think before posting things like "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out". Thanks in advance.)

To all out there with this problem.
I have seen many people totally panic ;), one even really deleting his char cause of this.
Stay calm.
Petition.
This happened to me half a dozen times in beta and twice in retail, its really annoying, but it never took longer than 24 hours.
Worst thing that happened to me was that a GM moved my ship and char to different stations, and i received a newb ship and the great gratitude gift of 1 trit. I guess you can imagine how you feel if you log in and sit in a newb ship after you had been stuck with a cruiser ;). gladly it was high sec, so no prob fetching the cruiser in the velator.
