I recently just messed with building a Rokh and in doing so I learned a new thing or two about range, fall off and tracking.
SO!
I will have a couple of days to myself here and so I am thinking about putting together a ship (nothing too fancy) that I'll fly out into the void in hopes of jumping into a gate camp. Not a 25 ship blob, but a more typical 3-man operation of logistics and DPS. And then I want to stomp them.
So what I am thinking is, you're going to need a battleship (weapon mounts, capacitor, drones and staying power). And I am going to assume a 14 - 20km enemy range. But then what? Well, you need to jam targeting; you need to carry mid or small weapons for the range (as well as no cap stability issues for you). Then you may even want to drain them. Certainly you'll need to be able to lock three targets fast. Maybe you even just send out some F.O.F missiles and drones? Or just melt them with blaster fire one at a time. But what if one gets away!?
Hmm...
Anyway. I'll be thinking about turning the hunters (I should say the campers) into the hunted. And I'll fit a ship, venture out and let you know how it goes. But of course discussion and wild ass speculation are fun - so:

An ASB Rokh can do what you're describing, finding the proper gatecamp will be the problem. You shouldn't need to worry too much about shooting small ships, as gateguns mean the smallest ships you'll likely find camping are cruisers.
Just be warned that people will bring reinforcements, so don't worry about them getting away. Your best bet will be to kill one or two, deagress, and jump out.
Here's a Rokh that was doing this very activity: http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=15590465
I believe when he jumped in, there was the Skiff, one Cynabal and the Oracle on the field. You can see the end result, however. |

Hawt!-DAMN the Rokh is awesome.
But this is what I realize. No one ship is going to fend off 10 cruisers (or better). Fine, they'z all sitz there so they'z all winz. I am more looking to double gank back the 2 - 4 man squad looking to get a jump on someone. Some three man team from a 3-corp, 5-member alliance that you'll find at the occasional .3 and .4 places a handful of jumps from Jita.
This can be done. I will do it. Stay tuned.
Rules To Think By:
First thing first - they will have a warp scrambler, but I'm not going to run. So screw'm. One non-combatant out of the picture. 2) I will have the target advantage (being cloaked), so I need to win this aspect and quick lock

Well, FOF isn't really that much of a deal. If you need them, you shouldn't be fighting who you're fighting. The DPS will be absolute crap.
The Rokh is great....I have theorycrafted a few fits and they all look promising. I've personally done this in null with a fleet backing me up in a Maelstrom, 800mm fitted. Would come in with two X-Large ASB's, cycle just one once I hit about 50% shields, with the rest of my mids in either invuls or a mix of disruptors and scrams....at least two points when running with a fleet so you can lock down more in case the FC gets fidgety and runs.
With the Rokh, the biggest problem you're going to run into is keeping them in range of your blasters. Most gate camps fit short range for the most part to maximize dps, but there are those odd balls. Plus, there's little stopping them from just burning away from you (even if you carry the fabled double-web Rokh) and then warping off once you lose the point. 1- The "fabled" duel web Rokh? I'll search the ancient texts for this.
2- You know what, if I warp in and chase 3 people off then I win. Yeah sure I won't have a kill mail to show for it. But at least I'll know I caused some tears. |

Forget FOFs on a Rokh. Reasons:
- Rokh has no missile bonus and 4 launcher slots only. Damage would be pathetic. - FOFs do less damage compared to ordinary missiles. Pathetic damage would become even more pathetic. - BS sized missiles are kinda subpar atm. Cruises do low damage (comparatively) and torps need support (web and/or TP).... - ...however torps should work better now, since GMP works for them as well. But there's no FOF option for torps. - FOFs are dumb and tend to attack the wrong target. Mostly the closest one (drones), sometimes even stuctures or fleet mates ^^
I'd suggest a blaster Rokh. Gank&Tank. But be prepared to get TDed...it's an omnipresent module these days. 2-3 unbonussed TDs and you can do nothing but sit and die. So you'd need a way out for such cases. I guess a Rokh could tank a smallish gang long enough to make it back to the gate. An AB should work better here because MWDs don't work when scrambled.
If you want some kind of clever weapon I'd suggest drones. A massive buffered Dominix could do the job better maybe. It's also not that vulnerable to ewar. Ofc drones can be killed. |

Going from how OP is talking about jamming, cap stability, and FOFs, it's pretty clear he hasn't the slightest clue about how game mechanics work. A quick KB check shows a string of total failfits, the most recent being a Worm with two rocket launchers, a MWD, and no other modules.
OP needs to join a corp that will teach him how to PvP, and needs to read up on PvP before losing any more expensive ships pointlessly.
Abandon the Rokh and get into frigs. |

*checks OPs killboard* Oh dear. OP, stop buying PLEX, get back into RVB and start asking questions. You are lacking a LOT in knowledge of how to fit a ship out correctly. http://pvpwannabe.blogspot.com/ |

This, looking through your KB I have found NO ship with not at least 70% of it's slots unfitted. Also your Hyperion loss this month is more than embarrassing. Learn to fit, fly small **** before you ever think about flying something large again. "For your termination of ***** *** we have paid you 0,39 ISK from their bounty pool." - uhm...
