If not could you state why as well because i want to start my own radio station that is actually more fitting and appealing to the eve community. I hosted one for Dayz before and i was actually quite successful with it but college started so i dropped it and it was much more difficult to run at the time. If i was to start it i would have more fitting music like maybe a bit of 80's but mainly a lot of falloutish, 30-60's music which i feel would add more to your experience while you are out warping through space instead of that techno/electro music that these stations seem to favor which are much more appealing to playing games like league of legends or dota with. Thank you if you give feedback.

I plan on using twitch to stream during start up because thats how i did it before and im not a web developer so i need to do a bit of research if i want to turn it into its own website. The "problem" I'm having with it is that general quality of the DJs is suspect and their music tends to be meh. Good radio shows I'd lisetn to as well as music choices that aren't the bloody obvious goth rock or dubstep. If you'd manage to marry both eve knowledge, experience and invite interesting eve players for a chat (like a podcast type of thing) and play interesting music then I might be interested. Note that many of the eve players are a bit "older", there's certainly room for a DJ who focusses on that. Amat victoria curam. Excellence in everything.

Suzie Kulkharn Caldari Provisions Caldari State 0	Posted - 2012.12.28 13:07:00 - [14] - Quote eve-radio all the time baby! vaan, why dont you try and get a slot there, bring in some fresh music to a well etablished radio instead of starting a new station that competes with er? as far as i know they still have way too much jukebox inbetween the dj's so that would be a nice way to a) diversify their music b) not have too much pressure from start (you dont need to provide music for 24/7, only for your timeslot) c) reach a broad spectrum of listeners from the beginning

I only asked the question because i went on eve radio and the usually only have about 150 to 100 concurrent listeners. I just wanted to know if they were the same people all the time or if it was cycling.

Thank you if you give feedback. I don't like techno/dubstep/electronic/ect. I would listen to your station. Leave the 80's out of it though :) I plan on living forever.......so far, so good.

Does a good mix of classic rock, various 80s and 90s music and lighter forms of metal, plus hes great about getting requests if he doesnt have them. As someone said downthread you could also try applying for a DJ slot if you dont like the music the existing DJs play, AFAIK they're still looking for more people to fill up the slots they have.

Long live near! Think I'll try them out. For the OP: I've only listened to it a few times but I find EvE radio to not be very immersive or interactive with the EvE environment. I used to love CoH radio because it referenced things in game and it felt like the radio was an extension of the game, instead of just feeling like a local college DJ that has played EvE once or twice while playing his Dubstep. This could very well vary from DJ to DJ and not EvE radio as a whole

Their DJs are similary quite diverse. Chats with EVE players and devs, contests, giveaways, etc. are also common. And they are both available 24/7, which is great for EVE's international playerbase. My suggestion to you is to get a slot with either outfit and put your musical stamp on EVE that way. While I can appreciate your eagerness to start your own station, it's probably better if you swallow some of your hubris and contribute in a way that's more sustainable, and significant (reaches more players), in the long run.
