Last week or so been getting disconnected from the game 4-6 times a day, making it almost impossible to play. I tried resetting my router, optimzing my connection, installing new sound card drivers, but it still happens. The error message is:
UserError: [infomodal] Connection Lost - An improperly formed or damaged packet was received from your client,
It certainly seems to be trying to place the blame on me, but I have no connection problems with anything else, only Eve.

Have you considered that your ISP might be the problem?
My ISP in the UK (TalkTalk) recently started "port throttling" between 16:00 and 01:00.
This is probably to reduce the traffic from peer-2-peer file sharing. Unfortunately I can't play EVE at all now after 16:00.
Needless to say, that ISP has lost my business!

It's possible, but since Eve is the only thing giving me trouble, doesn't seem likely.

I am haveing the exact same problem and have tried all the same reinstalls as you have and still having problem i eve reinstalled EVE, will see now if that fixes it but has only been last few weeks that have had this problem with no other games being affected.

i to am haveing the same problem , i keep looseing the connection to ccp servers
in no other game do i have this problem , same as some of the guys in my corp they have the same connection problem too
i have complained to ccp who as usual failed to reply to me

Hmm, So I'm not the only one being plagued by constant disconnections...
All my other net-based games work perfectly, eve-online website works fine, only my connection to the game servers itself is fuzzy.

Yup this is a strange one, i experience this too, usually lasts a couple of days of crappy connections then its all back to normal for a few weeeks.
Then BAM, another couple of days of losing connections again.
