But alas, it is wasted on the people we see asking for answers in this thread, because the only answers acceptable to them are those that require neither thought nor adaptation from their side.
Rod,
I got to admit, I am kinda disappointed, not that I think you give a rat's dropping on rather I am disappointed or not.... But I fail to see why you and many of the 0.0 association players are beating up on the empire players because we would like the tools to protect the space we play in the same as you protect the space you play in. Not to say we want to say who can or can not pass through or mine or anything like that, but we have a pirate problem which the game mechanics will not allow use to deal with without becoming the pirates.
Now I am not against pirates... yeah, I slam them but that is mostly RPGing, and yeah, they make the game fun. But right now inside of empire, PvP is tilted in in the pirates favor in an extreme mannor. There is a sucide loop-hole and it sucks watching pirates hide in high sec space as they get ready to move to the next gate ganking. Now I dont want them to have to stop... but I do want to be able to blow thier ships away without CONCORD ganking me. That I what I basically see this Thread about... putting the tools into the game so that pirates are not getting a free ride inside of empire. No I win buttons but rather, a whole bunch of lets have a fight buttons!
You read me wrongly.
I am nto talking about suicide gankage here, I dont consider that an issue at place in this thread.
Suicide ganking is an issue to dowithteh flagging system being unfinished. It should flag both can and perp for a period of time, disallowing the use of alts to pcik up the loot. Suicide ganks in empire swhould however be possible, just not profitable.
Aside from that, there is the war option designed for the express purpose of letting one corporation take revenge against another within high security space. Of course, its no use against alts, which is an issue of accountability, not one of combat mechanics.
My hostility on the subject stems form the simple fact that I;ve seen too many posts about this by players that simply refuse to understand some basics about this game. I cba to exlpain those anymore, so I simply dispute their arguemtns and leave it at that. Its a pity that the newer generation of eve players is of the close minded mainstream MMO player variety. That goes for the new generation pvp combat fanatics too btw. We dont need cattle, we need people that want to explore this enw type of game and go with it, not hurl it back into teh stone age of MMO's with the rest of them. _______________________________________________

Here's my opinion.
0.0 is perfect, High sec is reasonably good. Low sec sucks.
0.0 does exactly what it says on the tin. In case you didn't read that tin it says something quite similar to this.
Originally by: Thomas Hobbes Hereby it is manifest that during the time men live without a common power to keep them in awe, they are in that condition which is called war; and such a war, as of every man, against every man. For War, consisteth not in battle only, or the act of fighting; but in a tract of time, wherein the will to contend by battle is sufficiently known... Whatsoever therefore is consequent to a time of war, where every man is enemy to every man; the same is consequent to the time wherein men live without other security, then what their own strength, and their own invention shall furnish them...
I shall leave the description of 0.0 at that.
High sec is designed to protect newbies, people who are broke, and people who do not wish to live the type of life implied by 0.0. It works reasonably well, however things like suciside kestrals and ore theives target certain sectors of the high sec population and makes their job more risky then it otherwise would have been, and probably what otherwise was designed. However, since these hazzards do not harm the population at large, and also (and especally in the case of ore theives) tend to not harm the target greviously, they are imprefections, but tolerable ones.
Low sec however provides no help for anybody except for lame sniping battleships. The hauler gets to get blown away with no recorse, the ransom pirate gets to get blown away by sentry guns. Low sec needs to be fixed.

Sadly Eve and balance have alwas been mutually exclusive and will always be until they change the design of the fitting system, control method and overall design of how combat takes place.

Well, war decs would work if except, this would tie up all war dec of corps in side of empires. This would still not cover all pirate corps. This would still not cover the lame sucide pirates and ore thiefs that stay in NPC corps just so that you cannot w |

PVP is inherently balanced. You are a player, the other guy is a player, he has nothing more than you do and you're fighting with the exact same ships and modules. |

Miri, I have moved away to piracy all together for the moment, simply because I don't really like gate 'ganking', and I don't see anything happening soon to remedy the situation. The problem is that pirates are somewhat backed into a corner by the exis |

Personally, I think all the people who complain about fight not being fair or perfect have never been in a real conflict.
Fighting aint fair, and rarelry is the situation perfect.
Someone is always going to lose. Get over it or die *****i |
