i've noticed recently that nosferatu only seem to work on npcs on the first cycle, after that i see no noticable increase in cap when they should be cycling. can anyone confirm or deny this? |

NPC's don't use cap. They never have. You can drain all their cap, but it won't stop them from doing anything. You're probably taking it all in the first cycle.

bleh. that's what i was afraid of, but i had been told that they had infinite cap.... apparently not i guess. is stupid that you can take all the cap from a battleship in one cycle of two heavy nos. absolutely retarded...

Edited by: Logik Reborn on 05/06/2005 21:14:48 I have already petitionned a GM with a file from the Log Server Tool about this issue and the GM told me, after reviewing the log, that this modules seem to be broken.
Quote: Chances are this is bugged, so could you please submit a bugreport about this issue with your log included? The development team needs to be made aware of this possible issue. The form is located under the "Bug Reporting" link on the EVE Insider at myeve.eve-online.com. The report will be reviewed by a special team and, if found applicable, sent straight to the developers for fixing.
A bug report have already been submit so I guess this problem will be fixed on the next patch.

I'd remove the above quote from your post as you're not allowed to post private chats between yourself and ccp on the forums.

for fun, I was using a small nos & 2 hybrids on an Incursus to take on NPCs in a 1/10 or 2/10 complex. It was really hard because my character doesn't have many SP and I'm not a combat person... but I noticed this actually working better for me & keeping |

If you turn Autorepeat off and keep manualy turning on the nos it'll work, pain in the ass, but it works.

Depends on ship size and nos size.
A large will wipe all frigs and cruisers in about one cycle. maybe two on cruisers.
BS to BS maybe 3 cycles. not much for sure
And once that is gone you are wasting your own cap to keep using it on same NPC.
manual firing and rotation of targets will get you some more cap.
but check out your drones(some used to have 2000 cap available) Launch it, target it, suck it dry. Better off nosing your own drones.
And the drained cap battery on the NPC does not stop them from MWD'in, AB'in, repairing, boosting, or shooting.
Rumored that they do not have a recharge rate on their cap as it may cause added lag.
They could easily change this and make it work as it should.
If recharge rates on NPC causes lag, they do not need to have that implemented. Just give the NPC a bigger cap capacity than we get on our own ships, affect is recharge rate.
But they should also go dead in the water when emptied.
no cap capcity = no repairing, no shooting, no boosting, no nothing but exploding.

I recall somethng along the lines of limited cap on npc's to prevent an exploit where you could effectively drain infinitely. That's why they don't recharge.
