Quit the game without a second thought. Sell your video card and get one that won't work on eve.
My marriage has been up and down, but @ least some of the downs have been due to eve. I cut my play time WAY WAY down and that's helped a ****-load.
If I can't handle *some* playing without going back to massive playing, I'll have to take my own advice there from the top.

Um, quit EVE then or scale back on playing it. As good as it is, it isn't worth ruining a marriage over it.

Nope no ideas from me, welcome to the single life, without a woman drainign your resources you can afford a second account.
On a serious note that sucks, no woman should become involved in something they dont understand (there are some women who do understand computers tho).
My suggestion is to try and get a cheap mail-order woman over the net, they're just as good as the expensive ones and as long as they get their passport you can play eve more than you do now.

u see, u guys have done it all wrong... first of all get a foreign chick... maybe something tasty that needs a VISA to get into the country... she has to be a good cook, and be able to do other nifty things..
a vietnamese hooker works just fine for this as her grasp of the english language will be peesh.. www.vietnamese-hookers-need-visas.com just tell her you are a gamesmaster for CCP and u need to spend all day on the PC to make pennies to keep her here.

OMG....what a laugh.....i used to get so mad at my ex for being on the computer 24-7...consequently we arent married anymore......but i do find that eve does cause some r/l problems...married or not.....specially when the other party doesnt understand......course i play eve now and have been for over a year....and im very happy in r/l as well...since i found another eve player
why just the other day i commented that my cell phone had run out of cap and needed to be recharged......maybe should lay off a litttle
saddest day in EVE by far is when my sec rating went positive..(but not anymore)......*giggles* |

Dear CCP Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded one of your programs from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0.
I soon noticed that the new program began an
unexpected child processing that took up a lot of
space and valuable resources. No mention of this was
included with the product information. In addition,
Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and
now launches during system initialization, where it
monitors all other system activity. Applications such
as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5 .0, Hunting and
Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6 no longer run, crashing
the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep
Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my
favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back
to Girlfriend 7.0, but I do not know how to uninstall
Wife 1.0.
Please help!

Dear Troubled User:
This is a very common problem that men complain about.
It is due to a great misconception. Many people
upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that
it is merely a Utilities and Entertainment program.
Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its
Creator to run EVERYTHING!!!
It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return
to Girlfriend 7.0. Hidden operating system files will
cause Girlfriend 7.0 to emulate Wife 1.0, so nothing
will be gained. It is impossible to uninstall, delete,
or purge the program files from the system once
installed. Also, you cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0
because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this.
Some have tried Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0 but ended
up with more problems than with the original system.
Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under
"Warnings-Alimony/Child Support." I recommend that you
keep Wife
1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest
installing the background application "YESDEAR" to
alleviate software hang-ups. Having installed Wife 1.0
myself, I also suggest that you read the entire
section regarding 'General Partnership Faults'!
(GPFs.)
Your Wife 1.0 does a scan for GPFs during its monthly
program maintenance scan (PMS). You must assume joint
responsibility for any faults and problems that occur,
regardless of their cause. You will find that GPFs are
cyclical. The best course of action is to enter the
command C:\APOLOGIZE.
Avoid excessive use of C:\YESDEAR because ultimately
you will have to give the C:\APOLOGIZE command before
the system will return to normal anyway. Remember, the
system will run smoothly as long as you share the
blame for all GPFs. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but
it tends to be very high maintenance.
Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as
Clean and
Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 (which replaces Burn It 1.0),
and Do Bills 4.2.
You must, however, be very careful how you use these
programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch
the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only
way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to
purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1
and Diamonds 5.0, should this happen.
WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install
Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is
not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible
damage to the operating system.

im currentlly running girlfriend 15.0 16.0 and 17.0 at the same time.
i also puchesed 18.0 and 19.0 but thei cd-key numbers on my phones are just there for a back up.
my advice is never buy wife 1.0 until you are 30 years old.
updates and patches for the programme are availible at your local slicitor.

Hmmmm, OFP vs. Survivor.... [hadn't found my way to Eve yet]. Yep, rather gouge my eyes out than sit and watch reality TV when I could be piloting a virtual LittleBird.
I don't miss that part of my former marriage one bit, or much else now that I think about it. Still, you promised for better or worse. I would do the right thing. Marriage before Eve. If it's failing, let her be the one to F' it all up and then you have no regrets. Worked for me.
