I believe i may be the victim of a scam involving the sale of a char via the sell forums.
A certain person is not only holding my isk but has also not transferred the character to me and is also now asking for real money before he transfers the character to me. Obviously i have said no.
i will not mention any names here and this is an alt of mine.
My question is... how do i resolve this issue?
I've mailed the guy asking to be reimbursed but i dont wish to leave it too long. I've been advised to petition but there doesent appear to be a catergory for this.
I apologise if this post is in the wrong place but the help channel was very much less that that  feel free to moderate my post but can someone please advise me on the best course of action? |

You petition under other and they will correct it. In fact, if you ever have a question like this you should petition it under other because threads like this never go answered or just get locked with a petition this under other response.

And do not give real money..
CCP take a very dim view on this, and will intervene on your behalf post haste.
They will either retrive your isk, and slap this idiot.. or maybe force the transaction through.

Petition quick fast and in a hurry. I'd also take screen shots of the transaction in your wallet and any coorespondance regarding the transaction. Just hit the PrintScreen button at the top of your keyboard.

Character scamming and CCP's approach to it is the best thing that has ever happened to EVE. Most effective way of weeding out the trash we don't want in this universe I've ever seen.
