so i just started playing the game 3 days ago and i've noticed that making isk is quite difficult in the game. i'm stuck on level 1 agents and, even though the one i'm working on now has a quality of 15, i'm only making about 20000 per courier or destroy mission. i've tryed mining but that is slow, boring, and still quite unprofitable. i've gotten through 3 or 4 agents already. how long/how many agents do i have to complete before i advance to level 2 and make more money? i was finally able to equip myself with a catalyst (i'm a gallente) so now i got some power. i just don't know what to do with it though to make money. i just need a little direction. any help?

What can we say?
It's slow going to start with. If you do missions then collect the loot. Sell the good stuff and reprocess the rubbish. (Reprocessing gives minerals which you can sell)
Otherwise, focus on the game and not the balance in the wallet (easy for me to say!) Do something co-operatively with other people. Get in a hauler and offer to pick up loot for someone doing level 4 missions. You can make a packet doing that.

I dunno, maybe I just got a few lucky runs but I alreay got a merlin and money's comming, well I wouldn't say easily but not that hard really. if youre up for it bountying pirates is fun and profitable but it can be a bit dicy if you're not up for it. Then again you might be shooting for bigger prizes than I am.

Have a look at our Coreli Corporation Mainframe. We help young pilots get over the first difficult steps by providing guidance and ships / modules. And playing in together with friendly folks is more fun anyway :)
We are recruiting! ---------------------------

Best way to make money is to join a medium sized empire based mining corp. Help them out with hauling when you do a mining op. When you are not doing a mining op just do whatever you want.
This makes you a good amount of isk and also allows you to learn more about the game. Training for hauler doesnt cost alot of skill points and its wise to train it. Seriously Have I Not Said How I Can Assist Some One You Are Killing Online? |

If you did the tutorial, all of it, you should be able to get into level 2 agents somewhere fairly quickly. Gallentean ones by the look of things.
Agents are all more of the same of course.
The best advice is to get into a corp, preferably one with a group focus.
Trading can net some cash, but only if you have cash. And really, you get to a certain point with that where you just can't make any more. Then it becomes a grind.
Then, once you can afford the one ship that is worth flying.. whatever it is this month, you can hunt npcs till doomsday and be a billionaire.
My suggestion is first figure out what you want to do with that money first. Not just what you want to buy, but what you want to do with what you are gonna buy. Otherwise you will just be stuck in a loop, earning money in order to earn better money. Living hand to mouth has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Don't try to live hand to mouth on your own obviously.

good point, don't point to any corp please, the new players have to do the choice on their own.

Do a mix- mine a bit, trade a bit, do some missions. Have a goal to work toward, you'll feel much better about the game when you reach it. --------------------------- |
