Over the past few weeks I've noticed it takes me 5-10 minutes to log into Eve now. Just a few days ago I switched to dial up from DSL and now it takes 10-15 minutes hehe. Any advice on how to boost my log in time (once I log in Eve runs fine on dial up by the way ) --------------------------------------------------- (\_/) Is this bunny or Picachu? Exactly the same problem from me. Long logging time or not possible to log at all. I'm on DSL, nothing changed for me for last few days. Other sites, other games (MMORPGs too) have no such problem.

did you guys try to clean your cache out a bit? Whenever I have slow login time, I start cleaning it, and then it's at normal speed again.
Things not to delete in your cache folder: prefs.ini file, and the settings and browser folder. All the other things are just clutter. Make sure you delete the logs aswell, they start taking up quite some space in a while.
This is no guarantee, but it might help you. And as another tip, try to limit the amount of persons you have on your buddylist. Buddylists of over 300 people are known to cause a bit of login lag aswell.

I have cleared my cache many times, with advice on the forums. My buddy list is 25 peeps. I went into "texture" folder and deleted pictures in there. Deleted pictures of planets I visited. I don't want to re-install Eve, I have many BMs I'd like to keep =).
Any other ideas? --------------------------------------------------- (\_/) Is this bunny or Picachu? (O.o) Beware the bunny w/BIG sharp teeth (< >) Zster's kills |

BMs are stored on the EVE server. Only the folder information is kept on your computer. It should be in one of the .ini files in the cache folder (not a sub-folder). So as long as you don't delete the .ini file, shouldn't be any problem. - - - - - - - - - -
