They don't neccesarily have to be your own.
They can be funny in whatever way you think: huge isk loss, funny character names, bad suicide ganks, etc.
(Before posting my "funniest seen killmail", I want to note to the victim: I am not intending this as an attack to your ability of fitting ships, flying them, or PvP abilities. I am merely stating that the killmail itself made me laugh, meaning the loss. However the loss was gotten plays no part in that.)

You're all aiming too low. The best kill ever was Ginger Magician losing his carrier and going apeshit over it, Cyvok's titan loss and the honour tanking dread loss. Not because of the fittings they had (ok, the dread sucked) but the aftermath and rage that followed.
