Yep I felt the same way too, no motivation to do anything after years of playing. Tried Perpetuum for a long while ,was fun too, no other mmo gets as close to eve gameplay as Perpetuum. Now I am back and I can undock |

I might've made a mistake by jumping from 3 clients to 5, because it really wears me down. http://i.imgur.com/z5l5v.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/SeSun.jpgI was in a great wormhole corp who taught me wh mechanics, but that wore me down too I'm not leaving EVE, I just... can't undock
I quit running missions and joined a Faction War PVP corp. It's much more fun, and since I did so much carebearing I have loads of cash to squander on ships that will inevitably get blown up in silly ways. I mean, the only disincentive to PVPing is that being bad at it costs lots of ISK. If you have lots of ISK, then PVP is really the only challenging content left and you don't have any reason not to unless you simply hate PVP because it's PVP.
Also, FW gets me to actually undock because I feel like I'm PVPing for a reason. Just roaming around looking for kills always seemed pointless and silly, even if some people do turn it into interesting youtube videos. Once I started looking into it, I was surprised at how many different kinds of PVP there are in this game. I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs. |

isk isn't a big priority to me--I just buy it when I run out. I bought four or five 6-packs of plex in 2012, I don't remember exactly
EVE is there when I'm ready to fly around, I know that much. and that's good
I'm sorry, this was a dumb thread. I'm just in a funk.

"next semester", "my roommate"... Uh, yeah.
IF you're in school, maybe concentrate on your school work? If you're on a break and can't be motivated to play, why bother? Close the account and find something interesting to do with your time. You clearly have the motivation to post a new (troll) thread on EveO forums, so what does that tell you? "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." -á --- Sorlac |

next semester isn't for another month. somehow, having less time for EVE between classes makes the time sweeter.
at least logging in isn't an issue--I like playing dress up with my characters <-for what it's worth, I swear this is not a troll thread.
I wouldn't close the accounts, and they're paid up annually sometimes there's no use for talk, and u just gotta bake cake |

I have this very problem.
This is my alt account, and i made a corp (join!, lol) as a result of this very thing. I sit in a station and spin ships. My main has 133m SP's, and so far as i can recall, hasnt undocked since august. i log on nearly every day. I dont DO anything. i dont even station trade.
I log on and instantly feel bored.
For me, a lot of it comes from having had the main since 2004--i've already tried everything. Most of it compleatly unenjoyable.
i like missions--and spnd most of my time trying to find a mission ship i like--but they all have TERRIBLE dps now. I dont want the missions to take forever, when i know the outcome already. 500 dps is weak, 800 is stupid. 1000 is getting there, but to hit the 1200 or so i want--i cant actually HIT anything with it...
so i dont ever undock. i dont want to spend 40 minutes in a mission that should take 10 ...
I have been collecting some interesting ships latley, just to change into something different when i log in and spin. Bought a legion with the locus sub, just because it looked cool.... bought interbus catalyst, because it's yellow. etc etc.
game is boring.
dps is too low.
but feel too guilty not to train something.
so i stay.

Well I guess i could try to say "lucky guess?", but you probably wouldn't buy that, however you're welcome to message me in game if you'd like, I tried sending you one but got an error message.

Welll, you must be busy the past couple of days, so I'll fess up... one of my older toons did the hauling for Santa, and in the other thread you'd mentioned questioning what someone who got 14k would do, so I figured it was you. :P
you're still welcome to holler at me in game though

I always felt that more clients was more work. Nice set-up btw.
I barely undocked for ~year; no shame in it really. Didn't do that with 5 accounts though; just two. Now I'm roaming a bit and doing some stuff with an old corp mate. Seems he's the one not highly motivated to undock these days though. Not always anyway.
Just takes stepping back and finding an interest in something. Missions are alright, but without people to play the game with, it gets old pretty quick. zubzubzubzubzubzubzubzub |

Has happened to me several times now. Problem with your main is that you get too precious with it, clones and ships and the standing you get used to are expensive to replace and you're not worth risking. Been there, done that etc etc.
Develop an alt that is well skilled enough to stand up on his own 1:1, but you don't get too precious about. Then take it somewhere different and become a nuisance. Long John Silver | Pirate Alt-áand Forum Troll. |

One personal goal I made when I got bored with the game and took a break was to get back into a supercarrier. I've owned two before, both Nyx's and ended up selling both. This time however, I'm getting into an Aeon. I saw you buy plex, how about saving up for a Titan? Do mission running, get a decent ship thats fun to fly, and save up.
Once you own your pretty big ship, then consider joining an alliance. Most will throw roses at your feet as you enter if you have a super |
