Hi All
Just wondering what everyone thinks of this:
http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/64071-Vexor-Pure-Brawl-900dps-27k-EHP.html
According to EVE Mon it will be 38 days for me to train the skills for this. Don't want to spend the time if it's a bad fitting.
Thanks!

Looks good to me. It's a brawler so you'll be looking to snag something and kill it close of course. Just be careful you don't get pointed and kited by something like a Stabber.
The shield and weapons skills you train for that will not be wasted if it turns out to be rubbish tbh. The bottom line is that now I have one of those annoying signatures. |

link to battle clinic isn't working. It would be better if you made the fit in EFT and pasted it into your post. Furthermore I hate going to battleclinic because its full of outdated fits. The Golem - The "Meh" of Marauders |

Pretty good fit. So go for it and have fun :)
All the skills needed for it are very useful for other ships. So nothing is wasted. If you are having Smurf problems I feel bad for you son I got 99 problems but a Blue aint one. |

It's a paper tiger. You are AB fit with blasters and no web. If you have two Ogres, two Hammerheads, and a hob out you are looking at ~310 DPS from the drones. Drones, however, work best when your target webbed. This fit does not do that. Here is an unorthodox fit I've been using for FW plexes.
High: 150mm Dual Rail II x 4 Mid: 10MN AB II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor x 2 Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler Low: DC II EANM II x 2 Explosive Hardner II 1600 Plate II Rigs: Trimarks x 3
Drones: Ogre II x 2 Hammerhead II x 5 Hobgoblins II x 5
The rails with faction antimatter have an optimal through scramble range and do a consistent 190 DPS. Add the 310 Drone DPS to that and you are looking at 500. With an AB and dual webs you will control engagement range at anything within 10km - especially dual prop SFI's. With different ammo you can hit throughout point range. When people see you shooting with rails they will try to get close - which is where you want them anyways. Lastly - 56k EHP before boosts or implants.

Nice fit. The vexor has a mean damage bonus and puts out excellent dps in both shield and armor versions. Only thing I don't like about the fit is that the meta 4 shield extenders and the IFFA can get a tad pricey. Not like its prohibitively expensive, but people fly t1 cruisers with the mindset that they will be losing their ship. I would consider downgrading the 2 neutrons to have a set of 4 ions if it means the other slots can fit with basic t2. Now just get yourself a frigate buddy and blow something up! I've heard of people running thorax/vexor combos before the cruiser changes, and people that did it reported that enemies would always blow up the thorax first, assuming it to be the gank ship while the vexor would be the tank ship. But the vexor is the one with the dual damage bonus. The Golem - The "Meh" of Marauders |

Just to make sure I get your fitting:
High: - 150mm Dual Rail II x 4 Guns :)
Mid: - 10MN MicroWarpdrive II Massive boost to speed for a very short time. The thrust that boosts the ship, and the corresponding maximum velocity bonus, are limited by the mass of the ship that uses this module. The sheer amount of energy needed to power this system means that it must use part of the capacitor output and the shield just to maintain the integrity of its warp containment field. Penalty: Max capacitor reduced.. Note: Cruiser class module - Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor x 2 Reduces the maximum speed of a ship by employing micro energy streams which effectively entangle the target temporarily, thereby slowing it down. - Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler Disrupts the target ship's navigation computer which prevents it from warping or using a microwarpdrive.
Low: - Damage Control II Utilizes a combination of containment field emitters and redundancy systems to prevent critical system damage. Grants a bonus to resistance for shield, armor and hull. Only one Damage Control can be activated at a given time. - Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II x 2 An enhanced version of the standard Adaptive Nano armor plating. Uses advanced magnetic Field generators to strengthen the Nanobot Plating integrity. - 1600 Plate II
Rigs: - Large Trimark Armor Pump x 3 This ship modification is designed to increase a ship's total armor hit points at the expense of max velocity. |

My fit is AB, not MWD. Get your target pointed and webbed. Turn on the AB. Move to 7km range. Hammer away with rails and drones.

AB is an option to mitgate damage and dictate range vs a fully tackled target. However, be aware that an AB may not be as useful when gate-crashing to escape camps or to chase a target and get that initial tackle in the first place.
The AB fit will require you to be on top of your target from the off. Sometimes this is the case (undocks, warp-ins, sometimes at gates) but not always.
Basically it's a trade-off that you must account for in your engagement and exit strategies. The bottom line is that now I have one of those annoying signatures. |

This is such a ridiculous setup, I'm speechless. I typically think of 'extreme edge of tackle range' fighting to be a frigate thing, but damn. 500 real dps is nice, and it definitely has the armor to last long enough to pull that range after the initial tackle. I imagine the rails work to pull other cruisers in, but I would never take a frigate close to a vexor, even if the vexor is sporting rails. Blasters without web = 0 dps
Also get an MWD <.< |
