This thread is dedicated to one of the most influential corporations in EVE, N.A.G.A
Now that i left the corp. after beeing a member for almost 17 month, it wouldn¦t feel right, without a final good bye and some words about my experiences i had during this rather long period of time. When i first met Tzadkiel, the game was about to change. At that time N.A.G.A was already well known as the biggest loot seller, and as far as i know people are still using the "mythical" "Bigger Picture" as a reference . I had this crazy idea about a community in which everybody would work together to master the brand new TECH2 and tried to convince "Mr Loot" to finance and stick the N.A.G.A badge on it .... and he did. To this date i don¦t know if he loves or hates me for that From day one Stepstone was kicked off there was almost nothing but work in it for us ; carebaering at its best you might say. It hasn¦t changed since. It might sound strange to many of you, but even though this is a game and it didn¦t involve podding dozends of people, i¦m very proud of our achievements and what N.A.G.A evolved into.
Reading the forums, it seems that people are comparing N.A.G.A with corporations like BIG or even with XETIC, an alliance! N.A.G.A is a small corporation. At the time i signed up, we were 3 people in corp. chat. Now there are around 20 active members - but hell, those guys are GIANTS This corp. means work, and lots of it - every day. With over 150 TECH2 BPO to produce from there is almost no time for anything else - no adrenaline rush, no reward and... no glory. No need to say that tensions are running high sometimes... but the show goes on and on and on. So, from my point of view, there is no comparison to that corp. N.A.G.A simply is one of a kind .
Keep up the excellent work guys.

I agree NAGA is a great company one of the best in eve.
every time a new Tech 2 BPO is released I pray that NAGA gets one so that prices are kept in check. Well the isn't totally true I guess I pray I get one but if I don't NAGA is where I like to see them end up

The interesting thing about N.A.G.A. is that they prove the point that pvp isn't just combat.
They have made their mark upon the market, they are the ones to beat.

Agreed. NAGA rock.
The operation they run is one of the most professional in the game. As he said you can be a great corp and rarely fire a shot.

I think NAGA has the most +5/+10 standings towards it's corp ingame, as they do a fantastic job and basicly providing the community with a huge amount of modules at a fair price.

The N.A.G.A. shop ist one of my favourite places to spend my money since I always can be sure to get fair prices.
They are indeed one of the most important corps in EVE.

Naga have done an amazon job ever since i started playing the game they were the price guides for everything and theyve done nothing but grow. I think i and many others loved giving our isk to such a neutral corporation like NAGA rather then buying off BIG or Xetic and financing their wars against us.
Naga were always fair they were often used as middle men in big trades due to their honesty, ive also seen them helping small industral corps grow they are truely a fantastic corp, their new in game shop is practically like amazon :) keep up the good work.

Simply put: N.A.G.A rocks
I like them, they keep items down to a resonable price. So when i have to buy something for my boys to play with, one of my primary choices is N.A.G.A
So when one of their shopkeppers made a minor mistake with one of my orders, he setup the escrow at 1/100th of the listet price, you didn't had to ask me twice to transfer the missing cash to him.

Well, it¦s never an easy decision to leave a corp. like N.A.G.A , especially when you helped building it up and put so much effort and time into it. This is a very specialised corporation. Almost everything is about production, research and trading. We¦ve reached every goal we¦ve set ourselves in the industrial sector, kicked off and realized some amazing projects like Stepstone and our POS project. Of course, the game goes on, but the stage is set and i need a new challenge.
My character is trained for fighting, 9 mill. skill points in gunnery alone , and i¦m still one of the oldest noobs around when it comes to PVP for example I¦d like to change that and enjoy the other aspects of the game as well - and of course realize the goals i¦ve set myself once again From my perspective, a game without a challenge is not worth playing - the harder it gets, the better. N.A.G.A is the perfect example for that. We turned it from a loot trading corp. into an industrial giant. It took a while, but the result is .... well, i think all those posts here are speaking for themselves.
Sorry, it¦s a bad habit to answer a simple question with a novel

I've never actually bought anything directly from NAGA, at least that I knew of. Certainly a dominant industrial influence within Eve, I do question the criticality to the role they play, because I hear so much praise, and I always try to put it in perspective.
I'm not trying to flame here, let me explain myself a bit better:
Every player in Eve should play to have fun. To do that, you set goals, and achieve them. You train new skills. You fly new ships. You equip new mods. You mine more ore, you mine more high ends, you get more enemies, you pod more ppl, you destroy another alliance, you make another alliance, you run more missions, you get new BPO's, you make more equipment. You Wash, You Rinse, You Repeat.
NAGA has made a very good reputation for themselves. Their goal has been (IMO) domination of the industrial market. To make everyone's items that they want, at good prices. Your very own Eve Walmart. \o/
I think Lord Byron hit the nail on the head in the middle of his post though. The unfortunate downside of committing yourself to industrial superpower is that you have to almost segregate yourself from military prowess. Wars are simply bad for business, as example A, I'll submit the recent event of their POS.
So you have to be committed to striking the peace with everyone, because in the end, you don't/can't stand for much of anything except the further progression of your industrial revolutionary goals. Taking sides in a military conflict simply slows down your achievment of goals. So playing friendly politician, kissing babies and giving away lollipops is what you do best, because keeping everyone on a friendly footing benefits you much more than it does them.
There are obviously ways around these issue, which I won't digress into here.
Anyways, the point is I guess, grats... I guess NAGA is a well known name. I guess it's just not my playstyle, but neither is corp theft, so...
Kudos to you guys for setting your goals and achieving them, I guess that's what I'm trying to say. Keep on doing your thing and having fun! It's probably not the post anyone was expecting. It's not a flame, but I figured after watching 20 posts of "FTW" I figured why not put in my own personal, and alternating, opinion. And I agree, goals should always be re-evaluated and reset at appropriate times, so gratz to Byron for that.

LB was, as he said, a fighter char. After he reached his goals, which has been quite some time now, people have been taking over from him. His leaving was not sudden nor are there any bad feelings; we still wub each other :-)
Our Ops will not be affected by his leaving in any way, we might be small but we know how the whip works by now ;) --

Krapz:
I couldn¦t agree more to everything you said. It¦s very important to be critical , to have an open mind and not to get lured into the trap called group dynamics.
N.A.G.A has a very straight forward corp. policy - neutrality. That, and their honesty and integrity in business relationships made their success possible in the first place. But i¦d like to point out that those characteristics are not connected to the N.A.G.A brand, but to their members. Every single one of them has all those characteristics and that¦s what makes this corp. so special .
Feta:
I wouldn¦t have left if i wouldn¦t have been 100% convinced that the guys are able to handle everything coming their way. N.A.G.A members are used to work in teams but also on their own. In terms of handling their processes, production and projects there¦s no problem at all. There¦s allways a big demand for industry specialists though and if you feel comfortable with their corp. policy you should give them a call.

I have always thought there's a certain irony in the way the naga shop works, the bazaar channel is a gathering place for friends and for enemies, everyone is a customer there. So when I get killed or kill someone in a fight, I know that they guy who made my enemie's ship is probably the same that made mine ;).
Keep up the good work.

NAGA is an amazing success story. They operate just just as a commercial corp, but with a great deal of trust (ie. Stepstone, ect.). Their rep is @ least in part due to their consistently honourable and reliable conduct. Very few corps can claim any level of *true* honour, although many would like to be thought of that way.
NAGA on the other hand has earned it, and is living the part of the box that it is hard to live, commercial success.
