That about sums up Microsoft . Honestly, go to radio shack or something and get a cheap 20 dollar keyboard that actually works. ----------------------------------------------- CANADIAN |

the enchanced f-keys are probably why they dont work in eve. this keyboard sounds like its more for people who just use the internet. For gaming you want to go with just a normal no B.S. keyboard.

I've got the same, nice board actually. Make sure that 'F Lock' is on.

Yep, on those boards the f-lock button switches between the standard f-keys and the customised windows functions, which is why they dont work on eve. just press the f-lock button.

Edited by: Scorpyn on 12/06/2005 00:21:38 I think you can assign the module activation keys to whatever you want ingame aswell...

I hate the fact that it defaults to the 'alternate' uses for the function keys.
Sucks when you're trying to get into safe mode...

I've looked hi and lo for a registry fix etc to turn the F-Lock key on by default but it just doesn't exist :(

Surely the F-keys can be customised or switched off using the software availible with the product. No company in their right mind would remove your ability to use the function keys.

Nope...unfortunately it periodically switches off and you have to hit the F-lock to reactivate the F keys. They want you to use all the shortcut keys they put in. Gets very annoying, but my keyboard hasn't really dissapointed me yet.
Although, I'm thinking of getting a zboard for Battlefield 2 so I don't know..... :) ________________________________________
