Disclaimer: I know random is random is random.
Question: I think one of the last patches has made it so that everytime now both Supervisor and Overseer spawn (in their respective pocket, wereas in the past their spawn was either random or triggered through a "method"). In the past, when I was lucky enough to encounter these spawns, they often dropped faction items (mostly ammo, but sometimes modules too). Now that they seem to be a regularly scheduled spawn, they have never (sample is about 20 kills) dropped anything but regular modules. Has anyone else made similar observations? Or was I just really, really unlucky (see disclaimer).

It was always possible to make them both spawn by simply clearing everything else and flying through the rooms lots (ideally in a very fast ship to cut down on travel time between gates).
Back then a lot of the time you had a supervisor/overseer with a bounty of less than 1 mil. Now and then you'd get one with multiple millions bounty which would always drop faction ammo and tag and may drop a faction module.
Having run this lots both when you had to do the above and when they always appear on entry I say the actual drop chance is no different to what it was before. I had one just last night.
