Soo, I noticed the text in both LG and HG crystals says at set effects "all crystal implants" instead of specific low-grade/normal ones, so I tested it on EFT and it seems to think too that you could mix them.
5 and 6 slot crystals tend to cost "a bit" more than the others so I was thinking about getting 1-4 HG crystals and 5-6 LG crystals, would this work?
-Thank you for answers.
ps. I did not notice where implant discussion should be, I hope this is right place >.< |

afaik they do indeed mix but gimping the massive bonus of the slot 6 might not be a good idea.

Yep they mix. By all means use EFT to get the most cost effective combo. MatrixSkye Mk2: "Remember: You consent to unconsensual PVP the moment you press the "Undock" button." |

The conventional wisdom was (IIRC) that the most cost effective option was low-grades in slots 1-5 and a high grade Omega...
Though at present that depends on how much you have to spend and the current price of the various components. |

Often you get anomalies like Deltas being cheaper than Gammas and so on. A bit of mix-and-matching can pay off. MatrixSkye Mk2: "Remember: You consent to unconsensual PVP the moment you press the "Undock" button." |

Someone done the math of this, how big is the gimp if you mix? Especially if you dont get the Omega in HG...
But it could be interesting, if the penelty for switching the Charisma one for an LG (and therefore +2) for instance was low.
I'd always have a LG set in if it wasnt for that +2 btw. They really should make LGs with +3 or even +4.
Currently LGs in my mind are only for people so far into the game and therefore their training that they dont care it only comes with a +2 bonus. |

Yeah I suppose it gimps you quite a bit if you take slots 5-6 LG, but considering the iskies they cost (+charm being mostly useless for me atm) I'm thinking the boost from 4HG and 2LG would be enough.
I think I'll wait to get tengu first though, I only have +4set now, but it still shaves few days off the time, if I decide to train something else "important" and long I would swap back to learning clone...
Thank you for answers, I was pretty sure help channel was wrong about this ;) |

Yes I've run the mix a few times, low grade epsilon and omega with others hi grades, obviously the boost is inbetween the 2 full sets |
