About Nexon The NEXON Corporation represents all that is greedy in the gaming world I have played 1 of thier games for several years now as a alternative to EvE during down times . Combat Arms is a fps and is FREE to PLAY but.....when you dont buy the I win items it takes 3 times as long to get to next lvl or rank most of the I win items expire (some items can be permanently bought but @ $$$$$$$). They do occasionaly ban people for hacking but for the most part it allowed or nothing is done .. Their built in hacking software FAILS almost 100% of the time . This is a warning to CCP beware of the company you keep Nexon is terrible . |

You obviously have little to no understanding how FTP games work nor where their revenue comes from. This is normal and acceptable within the gaming community. Nothing to see here.

When I read this post, I was struck by the brevity. Clearly, I thought to myself, this would simply be a link to a forum FAQ or some form of document discussing the Nexon / CCP link. But no~! -- I was delightfully surprised to discover that the link was in fact to Wikipedia, an underhanded comment about the OP's inability to use whitespace, punctuation, or capital letters -- properly, at the very least.
I then, to my delight, discovered that the poster's name was actually a rather witty spelling of ROTF Sausage. This, dear readers, was simply the icing on the cake. Rofflesausage has made an amazing first post. Simply amazing. I expect good things in the future with this young snarky forum goer. Good things indeed.

I love the fear mongering that come with nuclear power. Most people should look at what happened in japan as the stability of nuclear power plants.
A large plant survived a massive earthquake yet the tsunami took out the pumps. Right there it shows you that power generation from nuclear power plants is relatively safe. If they were placed farther inland (more cost to the company for water though) this accident would never have happened.
Yes people still advocate that coal is a better power generations substance even with all the atmospheric pollutants that it causes.
The flue gas from combustion of the fossil fuels is discharged to the air; this contains carbon dioxide and water vapour, as well as other substances such as nitrogen, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and (in the case of coal-fired plants) fly ash, mercury and traces of other metals.
Sulfur oxide combines with H20 to make acid rain.
Mercury causes damage to the body with these symptoms
Case control studies have shown effects such as tremors, impaired cognitive skills, and sleep disturbance in workers with chronic exposure to mercury vapor even at low concentrations in the range 0.7GÇô42 ++g/m3.[88][89] A study has shown that acute exposure (4 GÇô 8 hours) to calculated elemental mercury levels of 1.1 to 44 mg/m3 resulted in chest pain, dyspnea, cough, hemoptysis, impairment of pulmonary function, and evidence of interstitial pneumonitis.[90] Acute exposure to mercury vapor has been shown to result in profound central nervous system effects, including psychotic reactions characterized by delirium, hallucinations, and suicidal tendency. Occupational exposure has resulted in broad-ranging functional disturbance, including erethism, irritability, excitability, excessive shyness, and insomnia. With continuing exposure, a fine tremor develops and may escalate to violent muscular spasms. Tremor initially involves the hands and later spreads to the eyelids, lips, and tongue. Long-term, low-level exposure has been associated with more subtle symptoms of erethism, including fatigue, irritability, loss of memory, vivid dreams, and depression.
With proper control Nuclear is one of the safest forms of energy generation.
Personally I view the accident in Japan as a case study as a positive for nuclear generation showing what can happen to these plants and how they still are able to avoid a full meltdown.

yeah yeah like blair and bush were totally justified in invading iraq right? weapons of mass destruction lol. more like greedy ******* being starved of fuel by the russians and being pushed into a corner. and recently lybia (that can supply 20% of the usa's oil demands btw). bharain are doing worse to their citizens but i'll give you one guess why we dont invade- they sell us their oil....... how nieve are you, search a bit on this tinternet thingy and don't swallow the crap that mainstream media tries to push to the masses. cross refrence it from the commies and our news and you'll get a truer picture.
i know somone who has a holiday home used as a surfing getaway 50 miles away from the plant, needless to say he got out left the country and will never return there again, he told the company he works for to find him somewhere else to work or to shove their job. and like i said time will tell :)
oh and the f^&**ing thing is still leaking btw. |

Sure, but I don't really see a reason for it. Also, if you thought I was replying to you then I wasn't. I didn't care enough about what you said to reply to you. Now I do. When I first posted that, I was replying to the OP because if he's going to try and make an argument, no matter how flawed, the least he could do is try to make some sense when he writes.
malfoy wrote:that they are worse or just as bad as IGN
And how on earth were you able to come away with that after reading the last sentence? IGN has absolutely zero to do with any of this. I don't care if you hate them. In fact, I don't like them either, but I fail to see what part they play in any of this. |

We just recieved an email notification from EVE Online. (We are Japanese)
BasicallypÇÇthepÇÇmailpÇÇsaid,pÇÇwepÇÇGÇ¥allpÇÇwhopÇÇlivepÇÇinpÇÇJapan regardless of their nationality" are required to register to NEXON ID from April 1st to pay bills to EVE Online. We are discussing this in Japanese forums, but most of the players are simply going to unsub and A LOT MORE "POTENTIAL" Japanese players of eve which CCP expected will simply refuse to play because it requires you to give your personal information to NEXON (which is a famous security risk as well, I got my GMAIL ACCOUNT HACKED which sent spams throughout my address book only because I played NEXON games in the past.).
Now, CCP spends part of their localization staffs resources relating to the Japanese release and collaboration with NEXON. WHY, just why are they spending their resources, throwing their resources into dumps and gutters like this? I want you fellow EVE Players to notice the trouble we are experiencing, on the other side of the planet! Basically they are throwing your money into this -----!
Our Japanese voice is small, number of Japanese players is small, and let alone the people who can voice their opinions in English... Please, help us, let CCP know their path is not the right one!
By the way, as long as CCP allows us (willing Japanese who wants to pay CCP with our creditcards) to pay directly to them using creditcards.... we are fine. We can then invite new people to join, without interference from NEXON. BUT THEY ARE FORCING US! |

To the Japanese players actually in Japan. Personally, I would shout for more support for your cause, but I find that too few of you actually give a damn about the rest of the world around you, unless you are directly affected by something.
A case in point is your Governments insistence that Whaling is for Science. Make a noise about stopping that and I'll make a noise about Nexxon. Deal ?

Yeah, so I'll be sure if you have an Orca to take it down, for science.

One question, if it's really as bad as you say, how come you've played it for several years? |

While technically this was true at one point, the russian explosion spread fallout which goes a long distance and lasts for hundreds of years.
The japanese leak is almost exculsively alpha and beta radiation, alpha radiation is blocked by a piece of paper or about 20cm of air, beta radiation can make a whole 20m through air, again tin-foil will block it almost entirely.
Nice way to take facts well out of context btw. -The sword is only as sharp as the one who wields it! Other names: Drenzul (WoT, WoW, Lineage 2, WarH, BloodBowl, BSG, SC2 and lots more)-á |

Yea. I played Combat Arms too.
And i didn't have to buy any nx guns/ gear to be good.
And i think this thread is pretty pointless. As CCP has clearly stated that they will never implement a "pay-to-win" policy , or anything like it, in eve.
Yes, I understand your concern. But unless CCP's policy dramatically changes, i don't think you have anything to worry about. |

so to clarify, this is like being forced to pay for eve subs through steam only? although in eve's case it appears to only be billing, which makes sense, deal with local processor and get a wire transfer from a Japanese bank, no costly foreign transaction fees for every sub.
so is this a case of Japanese nerd rage or is there a good reason why these guys can't act as the card processor for Japan? The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

I like the part about how the largest distributor in that part of the world is so dodge that "nobody" uses them.
I also liked the inference that somehow Nexon would influence CCP game design.
Tinfoil may be required for more than radiation protection. To kill the enemy and break their toys!

You don't like Nexon? Fine, just add gametime with GTC's, which you can buy at any authorized dealer. I really don't see the issue. And obviously speaking English is not your problem.

As Ive read, it would be like being forced to pay through Sony after they got hacked (but didnt upgrade any security or really care).
