ok guys I'm guessing this is going to be quite easy, I'm looking for a mega setup for lvl 3 missions.
if pos I want to be able to do them as quick as pos, I'm working on getting a lvl 4.
so, whats your advice?

mega is overkill anyway for a lev 3... so id say keep your blasters (less distance to loot)
doesnt really matter what you fit lol... lev 3's should barely scratch you if you have reasonable tank running

While overkill, I use a setup that is similar to Thomas when I am lazy.
More often I revert to a Blasterix or Blasterax but that was not your question.

I use 425mm rails, 100mn AB II, a large rep, and as many damage mods as I can fit.
It wipes the floors with everything but the fastest of NPC intys, which then get droned.

I agree that a mega is mega-overkill for level 3 missions. I use a Domi and can more than handle anything. I think the most important part is the tanking. I use 2 Large Armor Rep II's and 3 Hardners and that is more than enough to tank lvl 3 missions, as long as your Cap skills are good enough to keep the repairs going. I use 4 Cap rechargers II's in the mids to help out and 4 250 Rails. Along with the drones..its more than enough. Also play around with the extra slots to see what works. I also use a target painter.

6 dual 250s they track as well as the 250 but use the mega s damage and tracking bonus. 2 cruise/siege launchers, cruises vs inties especially those quite tough angel webs/scramblers, torps versus buildings.
med slots best 100mn ab or mwd you can get, tracking comp and target painter, cap recharge mods
Really a target painter tracking comp combo wipes the floor especially combined with the mega s tracking bonus.
lows armor tanking and damage mods.
and of course mix of medium/heavy drones against mwd ers.
