Who's to say they didn't destroy themselves since then?

Well, there seems a dearth of movies/books regarding of 'Going Home' and the origins, and I'm a big sci-fi fan (and I don't mean Avatar) particularly books. One day I hope that something does come through that gate OR alternatively some contact made and further cover ups by the different empires.
Lore or not, I am curious to see what has happened to good ole Earth or have they completely gone bonkers and wiped each other out? It can't be true that with all this tech that we have, we are unable to somehow find a way to get connected.
Perhaps, a time will come when the damn gate does open and trouble comes, (or have some kind of event) coz seriously ten years is a long time, AND I do go visit the relic each year. For those who haven't seen it yet, please do it's still part of EvE's wonderful background story of 'isolated islands in space'. After all, EvE gate is like the social network.. currently not working as intended. |

Will Eve Gate to Earth ever re-open and if we do come back or they come to us what would be the repercussions? Will Earth be like this http://youtu.be/VzHbdlSKX1w or http://youtu.be/dQ3Mt9yiz6k?Anyway, for those who have not made the pilgrimage to the New Eden Gate, please do so. Who knows what will happen to the Enigma of Earth.
When you take the Lore into account your wrong about the state of earth in both accounts. In EVE the races are not nearly as advanced as Earth was when the first came to New Eden.
Still those are two movies I sure as hell am going to watch. I do believe that Will Smith is one of the immortal Capsule pilots since he never seems to Age. "I saw him fight by the monument in Jita. -áHe flowed in his Machariel like a Shinto spirit, 800MM shells sprouting in his passing. -áHis hair flowed in the corona of his target's warp core breach. -áIt was truly majestic. -áAnd while everyone stared in awe I stole the loot and ran off.-áBecause I am like that." --áNEONOVUS |

Would be pretty hard to wipe a civilization that is spread across the Milky Way galaxy and possibly other galaxies. They are HUGE, it would be almost impossible to search for every corner of the galaxy to kill the civlization and destroy the tech. So I doubt the Terrans have gone back in technology. Lolwut: "Yes, you kids don't know how lucky you have it. These days noobs get given free tackle ships for PvP but back in the old days the only tackle ships we were given were our pods. We had to use them to bump their rookie ships out of alignment to stop them warping off." |

Don't mistake fact for arrogance, supposition for fact, or disagreement for dismissal. Perception is unique in that it can be shared or be singular. Run with the pack if you wish, but think for yourself. A sandwich can be a great motivator. |

Might not be the case as when the Eve wormhole opened humanity had spread to it's limits and seemed to be at it's carrying capacity... maybe they mostly died out and technology went back to throwing science at the wall and seeing what sticks "Little ginger moron" ~David Hasselhoff-á |

I think here no more Earth when they come back or at last they see very strange earth , regarding to Einstein theory people who travel faster than light move in time, after coming back to earth they see nothing, example interceptor with rigs 17 au/s = 2 543 163 801 900 m / s, speed of light 299,792,458 m/s. Humans left behind could definitely use resources that were in New Eden. Think about it like it could have been a newly found and flourishing garden, and it was essential to use its resources for humans to thrive and prosper.
Left behind they consumed everything, sucked dry every quantum of energy and building materials for themselves from enviroment. They were in desperate need for it to maintain the civilization on certain level. After they consumed everything, colonies were unable to remain in close relationships, collapse of civilization and interstellar voyages was imminent and all what was left, were those piramids on countless planets.
Humans then deevolved and adapted to harsh, natural occuring enviroment on each of those colonies. Basically apes with a sticks.
I think the same thing will happen to New Eden, when sources of energy will deplete, riots will occur eventually and everything will be broken and forgotten.
There are 3 major breaking processes that have to occur, and then they can destroy civilizations, its famine, loss of energy, and loss of temper.
And, before you ask, It's true, in game we don't experience finite resources and energy (magic roid respawns and infinite PI resources) but it's just a glitch, or feature, depends on how you look at it. . Inside mining barge, true story |
