I really like EVE, this game is more of a "lifestyle" which may confuse people at first. But let me demonstrate the small ways EVE has shaped my life in positive ways.
+ I went back to school, motivated almost entirely by the skill training queue, this may be a unique trait to myself as a gamer, but I like to emulate the things I do in video games IRL. When I played wolfenstein 3d back in the 1990s I often had roast chicken dinners, and actually tried dogfood, because thats what William "B.J." Blazkowicz ate!. In the modern era when I play Dayz, I frequently pick up Heinz Beans, Canned Pasta, and Canned Salmon wtih Coke and Pepsi products from the local Walmart.
+ EVE inspired me to actually use my alarm clock, initially so I could make sure I kept my skill training moving along and it works for work and school as well!
+ EVE removed my negative feelings towards long-term commitments, I have been with EVE for a few years now (2 years, 9 months, 18 days), this is the second longest commitment I have ever made the first was 3 years, 9 months, 4 days with the United States Navy. remember kids, NAVY stands for "Never Again Volunteer Yourself!"
+ EVE convinced me to stop chasing "perfection" and instead settle and be glad with "profit", EVE has cost me about $500 so far but my savings account has grown considerably once I stopped resenting "The Man" and started learning from him.
+ EVE convinced me to work towards looking more like my avatar, and less like a Dominix, since CQ came out I have lost almost 7 stones, started shaving my head ,wearing dark glasses, and black leather jackets!
There is one minor in-game change that is coming, but I dearly wish would hurry up, Tracking Controls for Missiles was promised, right now my Nighthawk is less than fun to fly with the reduced range from the missile changes, I am eagerly looking forward to dropping my 3rd ballistic control from a Minmatar Tracking module.

Quite right; I stopped wearing leather because of the negative reactions I got. Rather than end up wearing a bucket of blood, I figured I'd leave the leathers behind.
