how often has someone jacked your ore when mining; this most likely need not apply to people with secure containers...
now answering my own question...the same guy did it to me and my friend about 3 times total. I wish I could level up faster so I could make him pay..

And how often? Never, because while I have almost never mined, I either mine in low sec space because I'm not a pansy, or I use these mysterious things known as *secure cans*. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

Once... and it was very little to be honest.
I do mine in systems from 1.0 to 0.3, I use instant bookmarks and got a hauler at the station to haul with. If I see a known orethief I pick up the goods faster than speed of light!!!
I also do some mining with my friends online either if they need a Battleship or I need one.

You know,
After it happens you need to ask "what could I have done differently?"
After a second and third time I have zero sympathy. Read the crime and punishment section, theres a "How to avoid ore thieves" thread there.
Yes its lame and no you cant do anything about it even if you get to a level 60 Amarrian HAC superninja because the game mechanics are currently against you.

Um, against you? There are two simple things you can do to avoid ore thieves:
1. Mine in low sec.
2. Use secure cans.
Do people fail to understand this?
Maybe if all secure cans could be stolen and you couldn't shoot people in low sec you could say the game mechanics were against you. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

I dont "fail" to understand anything. I just have a slightly different opinion to you.
I'm not going to open up the whole debate again. He was stupid and deserved what was coming to him. I pointed out theres ways for him to avoid it. Please dont lecture me on game mechanics. I'm not new.

Edited by: AlexK100 on 15/06/2005 11:05:29 Thats really fresh topic. Thanks for bringing it up, there are too small attention paid to this topic nowadays 8(
I wish everyone just make one new because it`s soooo dumb to read sticked ones and other topics from 1-2 page.

LAME responce!!!!
Original poster: There aint alot you can do untill your strong enough to fight him. But my suggestion is join a corp/gang, and go mine somewhere where there are low level rats. Most ore thieves wont go to a 0.6-0.5.
For the REST of you lamers: Stop with the same LAME responces to a new players plea for help. They:
A: CANT afford secure cans... B: CANT survive low security... C: LACK the skills and ISK to do either of the above...
If your not part of the solution, your part of the problem.

Why was my response quoted in the "lame" part?
I directed him to a thread that tells him all he needs to know.
