It was a Caldari fugitive that told you that he had the cure and had his WORD as his only proof while he was desperately trying to escape.
Think on that. ------------------------------------------------ Serve the State Join Channel CAINCOM |

I dunno, I wouldn't want to be the one explaining the horde of angry Brutor that the cure was a fake and that their time was wasted on saving me.
Minmatar vengeance is nasty.

You know, you Amarrians (and Ammatar, can't forget you Pulgor) wouldn't have this problem, or this apparent weakness if you would just give up the slave system. But, until you do, we Matari will be happy to taker advantage of whatever chance we get to try to bring your corrupt system down for you.
Really, you should thank us. If we succeed, we will be doing everybody, especially the Amarrians a huge favor. Too bad you guys are too blinded by your religon to see it.

Originally by: Jasmine Constantine There is only one true villain of the piece and its the nature of the Amarr Empire itself. The Emperor, his supporters, the courtiers, the Holders and those capsule pilots that support that regime. They are the one's that hold full and ultimate responsibilty for the deaths of rebelling slaves granted the breath of freedom by whatever means.
So, naturally, the logical course of action is to declare war on CAIN.

I know my heart tells me differently... but in this matter there is neither right nor wrong, and every man has to search his own truth.
I wish you peace in the home you have found. I still have to find mine.

Imagine a world where the Amarrian Empire is so weakened that we don't have to worry about them backstabbing us... In this world... how long do you think the Gallente would keep their filthy boot upon Caldari Prime soil?
If the current situation really should lead to the 'imaginary world' you wish for, it will nevertheless not lead to the Caldari being able to 'reclaim' anything from our Federation. You should stop to live in memories of your glorious past and accept the realities at hand. There are Gallenteans that will protect their way of life, and you Herko Kerghans have earned yourself a special place on the lists of the Federal Intelligence Office...

Yet is not our glorious past that I remember... but our escape from our Homeworld in flames.
And as for accepting reality... I thought Gallentes held idealism in high regard. But of course I must be wrong.

In your paranoia, you should do well to remember hardly no Caldari wishes ill to the Federation. More than that, as you can see in this thread, many don't even care about Caldari Prime.
But there are some of us who do care about our Homeworld. The Federation would gain those as friends, if they were to return Caldari Prime to the State... wouldn't that protect the Gallente way of life?

I for one think it was STUPID to kill him. Flat out, whoever did it is a blithering moron. The stench of their stupidity ebs and flows off of them like heatwaves off summer grass. Flies buzz over it and drop dead it's so bad. Heavy Tech-3 Hazard Suited men have to grab the stupidity in tech-4 10 foot pliers just to get close to it, to possibly train a skill of WTF to level V understand what kind of jackass would do something like that.

Edited by: Maggot on 20/06/2005 10:20:13 It is clear that no-one with any intelligence would kill the good Doctor. The mind that created a cure for the Vitoc method is clearly an asset worth billions and could have been captured without resorting to execution. The conclusions to be drawn are either:
CAIN are paid mercenaries in the employ of the Amarrian Empire.
CAIN are paid mercenaries in the employ of the producers of Vitoc.
The rhetoric about crimes against the state is clearly a smokescreen, do not be fooled.

There has been no published scientific evidence that the Insorzapine variant the doctor researched was a cure for vitoc. The drug has been labled in turn a mild euphoric, a deadly reactive mutagen inhibitor, a not-so-deadly mutagen binder, a vitoc cure and a bioweapon.
Until there is some hard data, it can only be classed as the worst case senario, a bioweapon and should be dealt with and handled accordingly.
I am certain the Zaniou assets beyond Dr Hnolku, responsible for the creation and testing of the Insorzapine compounds are continuing work to determine the exact nature of what the doctor stole and Zaniou are determining any possible commercial possbilities inherant in those compounds.
As for "rhetoric about crimes against the state" . . the fact that Caldari Navy Operations Command declared the two scientists Code-Five public hazards within Caldari-controlled space is fact enough.

The cure for Vitoc dependency is not worth billions to you if it falls into the hands of a commerical competitor.
In fact, preventing this from happening is worth billions to you.
It's a case of economics.

Most Vitoc is produced in the Empire, so cases 1 and 2 are the same.
