Hi, I hope to start Ice mining next week and want to supply POSs in the most conveniet way. Ie. mine the ice, refine it and haul it to a safe empire point where it can be escrow'd. As I will be mining in empire I think the strontiun clathrates are out of the question but I hope to supply all power ans cpu needs.
Anyone interested in buying the full needs for 1 day, 1 week, or a month off me and I will deliver?

My large covetor could get 24 pieces of ice per hour once the skills are at 5 so I'll see what I get from refining it and then hauling to the location once I've got an idea how many hours mining Ineed to do.

Just so you know, unless he's willing to pay in the 450+ range for isotopes and the like you're better off mining regular ores with that Covetor.
I have calculated in the past (based upon the refineable material inside the ice) that if a miner is selling it for less than 200K a chunk they are taking a serious beating. (425-450K a unit will get you closer to a refined value per unit of 400-500 isk per item.)
24 x 200K = 4.8M isk/ hour
Just so you know, you can make slightly more with Omber atm (close to 4.9M), and if you refine the ice first, you should get more overall isk selling on an opportunity cost basis.
Our corp is having little trouble selling LO at 750 isk a unit - which is a primary reason we do not waste our time with ice mining contracts. By not being contract bound, we sell when we want, in the quantities we want, and people pay what we like, otherwise they can do it themselves.

Some more numbers:
ok so say I mine 24 pieces an hour then refine
Will take me roughly 41-42 hours to mine enough ice for a POS for a week. i.e. 23 hours x 7 days = 161 hours of pos powering at maximum.
then x this by all components needed:
Enriched Uranium = 4 x 161 = 644 pieces
Oxygen = 25 x 161 = 4025
Mechanical Parts 5 x 161 = 805
Coolant = 8 x 161 = 1288
Robotics = 1 x 161 = 161!
Isotopes (depending on race) = 500 x 161 = 80,500
Heavy Water = 150 x 161 = 24,150
Liquid Ozone = 150 x 161 = 24,150
Damn!
How much is that worth and is it really worth me mining it or should I mine me some veld instead?

nope,
assumed 95% refine, u need 295 low end ice for a Large pos isotopes weekly supply (84000/285=12.28).
it should takes 12.3hrs
lo and water are better come from high end ice.
if u make up your mind.
im interested in your supply too, i run 2 large towers

Well there is alot of interest but I suppose I need to pick a racial type of tower to mine for as only mined blue ice so far. Looks like as always the galente tower looks cool but doesn't have the best pg or cpu lol so I will have to move. It does look that I would be a mining monkey though. Most people seem to be offering 200k at most so not worth it.

I will buy all ice products for market prices and more. All i really need is someone to supply it all so i can do one pick up and will make it worth the suppliers while. so if you are still interested capt rod or anyone else for that matter i will pay good prices, money isn't a issue.
