i know this is a n00bish question, and i know people on this thread like nothing more than to get out the n00b caining stick, but i was wondering if you can buy faction ship blueprint copies? i've seen someone that says he has a Bhaalgorn, whish isn't a normal player ownable ship, so i'm curious. please don't bash my curiosity lol
i guess if they do exist, bpcs (or bpos) of faction ships are very rare?

You have to do missions for them.
I think in the next patch tho ccp is going to add bpc to commanders as super rare drops so we can build them with out having to spend a few months on missions.

Faction ships and bpc's are usually received from running missions for the faction that makes 'em, prob for ungodly amounts of LP. I think in the future bpc's will also be dropped by officer npc spawns.

500,000 LP for a bpc (along with some rare and expensive tags you have to hand in)

ah right. i talked to someone who was selling a caracal navy issue for 325 about it, and he said he got it after getting 250,000lp from a lvl 4 agent.
hold on, 325mil for a few months running missions with a lvl 4 agent? for a ship that has a base price of 8mil?
this makes no sense to me. i know they're really rare, but i don't understand THAT either! why anyone'd buy a navy issue caracal for 325 mil is beyond me, unless to sell it for more.
these ships should be far more common, as it'd offer a better range and diversity of ships in the game.
let's not even start on the navy raven i was for 7bil

the lp is just really retarted, its only worth it to go after the battleships.. since 500k lp = like 2.3-2.7 billion..
where the 250k lp crusiers = 250-350 mill.
the pirate factions are more like 750m for a crusier and 5 bill for a bs.

Making everything accessable in a game for everyone is not always a good policy. For example, if everyone COULD have a navy issue whatever, then there would be fewer people doing lvl 4 missions. That would hurt empire markets, hurt torpedo sales for ammo merchants, and make the regular versions completely obsolete. If a caracal is 8m, and a navy issue caracal is only 16, why even bother with the regular. ---
