So im fairly new to the game. I tried some PvP training before and I now got my eye on E-Univesity. One problem, i need 8 standings with the factions listed above.
I have -2 with Khanid and -0.25 with Wiyrkomi.
First, what social skill is essential? I only gonna get em to 2 or some most likely. Have anybody grinded faction with these 2 before? Is there any guide for it?
Im gonna start with Khanid since they are only locaded in 1 spot. Could I fit a rupture for it? What should I bring with me (im more the 20 jumps out)? Should I be prepare for mining missions etc?
How long would it roughly take with starting from level 1 missions? 1 week? 2 weeks? |

Train social to lvl3, then train connections to lvl3 or 4. In this way you can pick up higher level missions faster.
As for a guide grinding faction. You are not grinding faction but corp standings I assume? Anyway there is not real guide other than: "Go do missions asap."
Do combat missions, they get standings faster. Also, count your missions and try to find a storyline agent that works for the corps you need the standings for. Make sure that your 16th mission is as close as possible to them and when you get a storyline chances are very high it is for an agent aligned to those corps. Besides faction standings you will get a very good boost on the corp standigns as well.
Edit: When connectiuons is trained you will be able to do lvl2 missions already after 1 or 2 lvl1 missions. |

Just make sure you have the right corps.
Remember it is Khanid Innovations and Wiyrkomi Peace Corps.
If these are the correct corps, you could well have a considerable grind unless something has changed since the last time I did it.
The first agent for Khanid Innovations required a 1.95 standing with the corp to access, which was unmodified by Social skills because they would not kick in until you had done at least one mission for the corp. If this is still the case, you will need to run whatever available missions you can find for Royal Khanid Navy and Khanid Transport until you raise your unmodified standings to 1.95, you will then be able to do your first mission for Khanid Innovations and you should get a big boost from any Social skills you have. You may also be able to fleet up with someone else who can run the mission and gain standings that way
You may be able to boost your derived standings for each corp by doing the major faction tutorial missions, these should raise your Cal/Min/Amarr/Gal standings to 2.0 if they are not already at that level.
It's been a long time since I did a standings grind, some of this information may be out of date. |

How long would it roughly take with starting from level 1 missions? 1 week? 2 weeks? I had always heard that Eve University was very new player friendly. Requiring new players to have +8 standing to join doesn't sound very 'new player friendly' to me.
Sounds like they want you to have +8.00 NPC corporation standing to access / create jump clones. If it's just to have a jump clone, only one NPC corp actually needs to be +8.00 standing for jump clones.
Have you actually been told by Eve University that you need to have +8 standing with those 2 NPC corporations to join? Any NPC corp with Medical services should work for jump clones.
Anyway, normally I would just link 'The Plan', however I think this 'Fast Trac' option might be easier for you.
Since your negative standings aren't too bad, train Diplomacy skill up to level 2, maybe level 3 if needed. That should get you up to neutral standing. Then train up Social and Connections at least to level 3, level 4 is better. Next run the 3 various Amarr Data Centers 'Certificate' missions (Royal Khanid Navy & Khanid Works) and then complete the 3 Caldari Data Center 'Cert' missions. After completing those 6 missions, complete the 5 part mission series for the Agent listed on the Amarr Cert and also for the Agent listed on the Caldari Cert.
After completing those missions, hopefully you'll have access to the level 3 agents in Khanid Innovations and Wiyrkomi Peace Corps. If not and if you have the ISK, complete the Data Center Copper Tag missions for both Amarr and Caldari. That should definitely open up level 3 agents. Next it's all about grinding level 3 missions for high corporation standings.
Since you're new, it's probably better to run Distribution (courier) missions instead of Security or Mining missions due to your skills and available equipment. Plus the Distribution missions can be completed much more quickly which will actually gain you more storyline mission offers.
As someone else had mentioned, make sure the 16th agent mission is near a storyline agent in the same corporation to gain a large corporation standing boost. Also don't hesitate to ask others for help to complete the Storyline mission if needed.
As for how long it will take, that depends on the amount of time you spend in the game. Probably take several days to train up the skills. You can easily have the required standings in less than 2 weeks.
Good luck and welcome to Eve.

You may be best applying with another character instead.
KI have literally one station, with mainly R&D/Courier agents not worth bothering with, and WPC mostly have agents in the middle of nowhere - we chose them both for Jump Clones as its unlikely anyone would run missions for either of them.
To somehow get standings with both, that is some going. Kelduum Revaan CEO, EVE University |

Have you actually been told by Eve University that you need to have +8 standing with those 2 NPC corporations to join? Any NPC corp with Medical services should work for jump clones. To the poster quoted and OP: There is no such requirement. You can just avoid talking to any agents from those corps. Then you will have "unexisting" standings with those and they won't be counted towards average corp (E-Uni's) standing towards WPC and KI. If you talked to them for some reason, you aquire those standings (so now they will be counted into your corp's average standings and thus can bring it below 8.0, stripping it from ability to use jump clones in WPC and KI stations) and only then you will have to grind them up to 8.0 in order to be accepted to Uni on this character.
I'm afraid we are dealing with reading comprehension mishap here.
I must add that grinding unmodified 8.0 with two corps (I'm not even sure they have decent agents and LP store tbh) is enormous even by EVE standards. For example, I think I was grinding missions for months before I was able to plant jump clones (note: I was running them not for corps in question, and not for JCs but for ISK). Though your mileage may vary. On one hand, I was doing those missions slowly back then, and wasn't very dedicated runner. On the other hand, as a new player (been there, done that) you will be constrained by hardware and SP at first, but more importantly, you probably don't want to ruin your first weeks/months in EVE by grinding for the sake of it. |

Thanks for reminding me to double check that. If I check under corporations nither of those 2 are listen and thus makes me able to apply to E-Uni.

Thanks for the reply but it wasn't a case of Reading Comprehension mishap. It was more like Communication Breakdown with Incomplete Facts.
I don't know the actual specifics regarding Eve University (Player Corp) or it's relationship with NPC Corporations for jump clones. However, I do know that a player can access jump clones with modified +8.00 NPC corporation standing (Social skills apply).
There's just too many variables involved to give a definite answer on how long it would take to gain that standing.

- Open your character sheet and go to the standings tab
- Check the liked by and disliked by tabs GÇô Ensure that "Khanid Innovation" and "Wiyrkomi Peace Corps" is not present on either list. (Not to be confused with Wiyrkomi, Khanid Navy or other corporations with similar names!)
- If they are on the list you have two options:
1. Grind standing to at least 8.0 by doing missions for the corporation GÇô a very tedious and lengthy process. 2. Apply with a different character that does not have standings with these corporations.

Though there is a probability that player corp standings are calculated based on unmodified ones of its members. Confirmation is needed though. |
