So, I love what CCP has done recently to drones. The introduction of the Drone Damage Amplifier and in a further patch the buffing from 15% to 23% bonus damage has really been great. Doing anomalies, I get well over 35M /tick, close to 110-120M/hour now in my carrier doing havens or sanctums.
But carriers can't enter 10/10 complexes. So what do you do?
The next best thing these days: get 4 remote rep dominixes with sentry drones and the Blood Raider Naval Shipyard will be pretty easy. Room 1 and 2 are just a warm up, in Room 3 it can be a bit hectic but once you clear all energy nrutralizers off the field it's a walk in the park. Ignore the webbing towers, you're not supposed to move much.
I still use 1 tank domi with a passive setup, she goes in first into the last room to grab initial aggro and tank the emp torpedo, right after that warp in the other 3 domis. And go. Keep half an eye on your drones health and try to snipe frigates before they get within 15k, if they do ignore them till you killed most battleships. If your cap runs low, just stop repping but keep your cap transfers running.

Yup, faction hardeners for a nice and strong EM/Thermal tank even when capped out.
And here is the active setup, of which you'll need 3. This setup has room for drone damage amplifiers unlike the passive setup. I'm even thinking about taking the plate off to get another drone damage amplifier. But on the other hand I kinda like the buffer. So, this is how me and my friends do 10/10 in Blood Raider space. (you can try quad-box it, but I'm bad at multiboxing so I go with friends, which is also much more fun.) |

Can that Tank Domi survive the 170 000 EM Thor Torpedo? (what's Thor explosion radius?)
It seems to have 158 000 EHP vs EM damage in EFT.

Loki is a much much better torp tank, i still use it for Blood Raider Naval Ship Yard with the rest being remote rep, cap transfer battleships.
it's still a serious pain in the backside. I simply moved to Serpentis Space where the "10/10" can be solo'd in an Ishtar or Tengu (so i bring like 3 tengus and run it over real quick) as opposed the the blood raidee monstrosity that forces you to damn near micro-manage everything.
The high end plexs null sec were already grossly unbalanced with each other, the new AI just makes those stark unbalances even more unbalanced.

The tank domi can easily survive the EM torpedo. That's why I made him like that. Have you trained up EM-armor compensation to at least 4?
I have EM armor compensation to 4 and a squad commander with all lvl 5 leaderships skills (but without links/active bonusses) and get up to 216k EHP against EM damage.
The impact of the torpedo takes about 25% of the armor of the armor domi.
(and just today we did another 10/10 netting us a nice Bhaalgorn bpc and some x-type large armor repairer. We're getting better, today we trained on broadcasting the energy neutralizing BS and we really killed them quick. Once the energy suckers are of the field, the danger was close to 0)

The nice thing about the domis these days is the buffed drone damage, which helps you clear those plexes in a timely manner. Immunity to tracking disruption and because of the drone, you can easily dedicate 4 slots to remote reps/caps. |

If you can, get an OGB. Literally doubles your tanking ability, by giving +35% resists and +35% rep amount.
Also, call back when you can solo. 4 pilots is nothing new. |

Why shouldn't the hardest of the hard plexes take 4 people to run? |

Ofcourse 4 pilots is nothing new.
But you have to consider that, the Blood Raider Naval Shipyard is on of the hardest complexes out there. The other 10/10s had a somehow bugged torpedo that didn't do any damage and no neuting, I don't know how it is now.
The thing why I posted this is because of the aggro changes and introduction of drone damage amplifiers the ships that we bad at it 6 months ago are now actually very good at it.
The badness of the dominixes was in how the plex used to be run: you have 1 very heavy passive buffer tanked ship warp in and grab the aggro, and after that you warp in a logi and some glass cannons. You didn't use dominixes because they were so much worse then the glass cannons.
Nowadays, you can not do that anymore, rats switch to your logi so fast it isn't even funny and good luck warping in glass cannons. What you need is something that can withstand the neuting have a buffer and do nice damage. The domis were always good at the remote rep/cap thing and can do quite a nice buffer. With the introduction of the Drone Damage Amplifiers, they now also do nice damage.
I wasn't claiming that it's a special kind of thing, just giving an option. |

Just FYI, sentries are not drones. same category yeah, but try to do anything with ogres, hammers. Lol that "buff"/ made heavies and mediums absolute in any PvE activity. Just saying |

Because the rest of them (except the Drone version) can be done with 1 ship (people usually bring more for speed, not necessity).

Nah, just a burst of imagination. |
