Stargazer Exploration Company is Recruiting EU Time-Zone Players!
Who are we?
We're a well established US time-zone corporation and part of the Transmission Lost wormhole alliance. As a corporation we have lived in high-end wormholes since mid-2009 and our current home is by far our best yet.
What can we offer?
Our current pilots are already enjoying:
- A mature group of people to play the game with - you won't find cliques here
- Vast quantities of ISK, particularly if they are able to play during both EU and US time-zones
- Heavily discounted T3 ships and subsystems
- Wormhole PvP and alliance-wide operations
- Optional Roaming PvP
- Standard software and services such as Ventrilo, Forums (alliance and corporation) and a killboard as well as a number of tools that were developed specifically for our corporation
What do we want?
We're recruiting suitable players to help establish our corporation in the EU time-zone. Here are the bare minimum requirements all corporation members are expected to have:
- Consistently active and alert (you play the game and you play within a team)
- Ability to install and use Ventrilo with a (good!) microphone
- Ability, enthusiasm and competency with all aspects of scanning - namely Directional Scan and Probes
- Gas Harvesting to level V
- Good shield skills (and armor skills if you're interested in PvP)
- Competency with at least one of the following ships:
- Heavy Missile Tengu / Nighthawk
- Basilisk
- Loki / Sleipnir
The following are desirable attributes that may be overlooked if a candidate is exceptional in other ways:
- A strong understanding of game mechanics, especially those relating to wormholes
- Excellent skills relating to at least one of the ships listed above
- More than 20 million skill points
- All Planetary Interaction skills to level IV
- Capital and Leadership skills
What we don't want!
We especially don't want drama, so you won't get in if we think you:
- Are bi-polar (and show it!)
- Are a kid, a tween, a teenager or anything in between
- Bought your character on eBay
- Are a Drama Llama!
We're not just some random wormhole corporation (unlike all those other wormhole corporations who are just random wormhole corporations!). We're very good at squeezing these systems of their ISK, and we'd like to think that we make even gas harvesting somewhat enjoyable, thanks to the good people in chat and Ventrilo. If you're interested and you meet the requirements, we would love to talk to you and answer any questions you might have.

I have just returned to the game after a 1.5 year break and am looking to get back to WH space. Tried contacting your US people earlier but they dont seem to be online atm. Contact me ingame.

Hello.
I have a question regarding your active players. I'm interested in potentially joining with my main (this is an alt obviously) but would like to know if you accept Australians? I know out time zones can be a bit screwy but with me working in my evening I'm able to be online during the US night and some of the EU mornings.
Just wanted to know and ask so I don't waste any of your time.

Hi Alania,
We wouldn't think to restrict someone from the corporation simply because of their origin. We do, of course, want to make sure that members are able to participate in the bulk of the group activities we run.
We are most active between 2300 and 0500 EvE time, and perhaps least active between 0700 and downtime. Of course, the primary purpose of this thread is to attract more European players to the growing pool of members who are active between 1700 and 2200 EvE time.
If any of these periods sound reasonable to you, please drop by our public channel STD Clinic and have a chat. The numbers in the channel are not representative of corporation members online, but, it does somewhat scale with that value.

EDIT: also some info on my character I'm wanting to bring over:
He has 26 mill SPs (just broke that today so I'm happy). I have just come back from a roughly 2 year break and wanting to get the hell outta empire space. I was sick of it last time I played and W-Space looks like a hell of alot of fun (I've been doing my research too). I can fly a Tengu with reasonable skill and getting it better currently. I can fly a hulk if mining is needed and u to Gal/Caldari BS's, though prefer smaller than larger ships.
I'm more than happy and willing to discuss anything else with you. |
