I have looked at yapeal and that would be great if i had shell access, is there anything like yapeal that will allow me to setup from a webhost without shell access?
I had been pratting about with yeapeal then found that you need shell access from the old eve forum...
basically i want to pull all the corp api info and bang it in a mysql database as a primary conser.
any ideas please???

Yapeal will work without shell access if you can set up a cronjob from your web hosts interface (most allow this). If you do not know what a cronjob is, google is your friend.
Yapeal will also work if you put it in your web root directory and simply call yapeal.php I believe, though I'm not completely sure. Anyway, you can probably remove the checks that prevent you from doing so. Want images? |

I put yapeal in a directory of its own, tried running the create tables php file but got errors 403 error for some reason. .. :D
I filled in the .ini file but cannot populate the database with tables.
I found that there is not much in the way of documentation not even where to put api keys...

the only way to do this would be to install it locally using, then taking the sql files it caches and run those manually.

Try setting Yapeal up on your local machine and than copy stuff over to server is the easiest way around many of the problems you've been having. I've gone in depth on several ways to over come the problems you're having on the old thread plus in a few closed issues on the web site. Finds camping stations from the inside much easier.
