You should be a bit more respectful. James 315 will be the next highsec/mining CSM representative, if he so chooses. |

Month One:
"Lord Mittani, while we still control all of the nullsec ore supply with our bot fleets, the absence of hisec miners has crippled our influx of low-grade minerals such as tritanium and scordite."
"So what do you suggest we do, prole?"
"Great master, if we wish to continue having titan domination of all of nullsec, we will have no choice but to divert over half of our mining bot fleet to extracting veldspar and the like."
"HALF?!"
"Yes m'lord, for without hisec miners to supply it in abundance, we will have to mine it all ourselves."
"You mean to say that you honestly expect us to devote half of our bot fleet... to veldspar?!?!"
"I see no viable alterna-"
"SILENCE! Who is responsible for this?"
"A man who calls himself James315, m'lord."
*evil stare*
"Then you know what must be done, adjunct."
"Yes, Lord Mittani. He and his followers shall be... dealt with."
"See to it that none survive."
Month Eight:
"Hey mining bro, how's it going?"
"Lucrative as always! Just gathering up another million veldspar right now."
"Yeah, this is great. How long have you been at this?"
"Oh I'm new, just a month or so."
"Have you fit for maximum yield?"
"No, I fit for tank."
"Tank? Why?"
"So I don't get ganked. I heard there were a lot of gankers in this game."
"Oh that was a long time ago, kid. Miner gankers are pretty much extinct now. It's all about the yield, now."
"How did that happen?"
"You don't wanna know. Let's just say it turns out us hisec miners actually have powerful friends in low places, kid. Friends that never knew they were our friends until it was almost too late. But they came around in the end, and now everything is smooth as gravy."

Ivy Romanova wrote:As the final ship docks up in Jita, the last miner departed New Eden and were cleansed off the world as James the Horrible grabs hold of the throne of CSM. Any ships that mines will spontaneously explodes. James stands in his lair , looking over the horizon as the sun finally set for the Empire on which the sun never sets. However.... what would be left of EvE when the day comes.... The day all miners stop mining?
1st week: Ships and ammo becomes increasingly rare , large scale thousand man fleet battles ceases. Large corps start reprocessing dreadnoughts , ECM Battleships and tertiary support ships for minerals. Previous manufacturers faces an impending mineral shortage , they start hoarding the minerals ,thinking the miners will return one day . Null sec corps security details are strained, entrance system defense and perimeter patrols are spread thin.
2nd week : Minerals and parts resoruces dwindle to crictical level. On an attempt to gain more minerals through wrecks . CFC declares war on NC, Solar Fleet, TEST,Pandemic Legion and Noir Mercenary Group. Code name : Operation Judgement Delve , Syndicate and Fountain burns for 4 days and 4 night . Smaller null sec alliances and corps pull resources back from foreign deployment and secure the perimeter in their home systems. Small gang pvp disappear entirely, majority of pvp battles are fought as gate camps with majority of them being Amarr ships fielding laser turrets. Carrier support becomes much more prominent as every ship is more precious than Quafe Shirts.
3rd week : CFC , NC-Dot , Solar was all that was left behind in the carnage. They declares a truce and banded together to form the New Conglomerate. Battleruiser class vessels became the Titan equivalent of today as global Titans population drop to less than 30 . Null sec and low sec activity drops to minimal level.
4th week : High sec mission running and R&D becomes the norm . Ammo and ships becomes the only recognized currency in EvE. Jita population dwindled from 3000 to 60 .
5th week : Players start leaving EvE. Player and subscriber counts drop below 70k and the number of active players in the server at any moment diminishes to thousands . Mission running activity dropping to minimal level. The remaining players take to the Worm Holes , hoping to survive the apocalypse by doing PI .
6th week : EvE is dead

I think week 1 would see nothing Week 2 would have market speculation Week 3 would have nothing as everybody spent all their ISK on ship hulls Week 4 would finally see the Spod roid from week 1 pop. Week 5 would be filled with the crushing noise of refineries collapsing under the spod they have to refine. Week 6 would be the poor sap transporting all those minerals get ganked by a fleet mate having a particularly sever flashback to November. |

I love a good story, but OP's is more science fiction than science fact. I have absolutely no intention of putting an end to all highsec mining. My opponents try to paint me as anti-miner. I'm against illegal mining. I strongly support legal mining. As a matter of fact, some of my best friends are miners.
I only intend to ensure that mining takes place within the proper bounds of the Code. Miners who follow the rules have nothing to worry about. And if I am given the honour of a seat on the CSM, I can promise you that I will only act in the best interests of highsec. I will not propose anything that would unduly harm the miners.
There's really nothing to be afraid of whatsoever.
